A good parametric EQ should allow you to increase the Q to get a pretty steep rolloff. Waves REQ certainly does. If it's not steep enough, you can always chain two or more in series. But the sharper the cutoff, the more phase distortion you get (especially near the cutoff frequency), and also a "bump" in the frequency response - once again, at the cutoff frequency.

Not too obvious, but NI Spektral Delay is perfect for this, when you use the Filter section only.

This EQ is really good for things like this.

Or 96db, if you use it in serial mode. But then, I guess "smooth" is exactly what he doesn't want....

Doesn't BugPass do precisely this?

dose any body know what it dose with the frequencies below 20htz when in reverse mode?

In reverse mode, it cuts the frequencies in the centre and leaves the frequencies at the ends.

who the hell wants to cut sub freqs? they drive pets mad :o
:ud:

hahhaa yeah but when you design bass patches like I do, you have to cut the super low for dynamic range.

And pet's are extremely sensitive to super high frequencies also. Much can only be generated with something like a plasma driver.
