hi

i'm looking for a plugin to remove verry low frequencies,

eq's can do this but thay have a roll off so a bit still gets through

any tips?

A good parametric EQ should allow you to increase the Q to get a pretty steep rolloff. Waves REQ certainly does. If it's not steep enough, you can always chain two or more in series. But the sharper the cutoff, the more phase distortion you get (especially near the cutoff frequency), and also a "bump" in the frequency response - once again, at the cutoff frequency.

Not too obvious, but NI Spektral Delay is perfect for this, when you use the Filter section only.

Or 96db, if you use it in serial mode.

But then, I guess "smooth" is exactly what he doesn't want....

i use firm demo & it did exactly what i wanted but it eat my cpu like it was a happy meal

i'm testing the tips so far

dose any body with more know how about filters know what filter will have the steepest pole (or whateverits called)

In reverse mode, it cuts the frequencies in the centre and leaves the frequencies at the ends.

hahhaa yeah but when you design bass patches like I do, you have to cut the super low for dynamic range.

And pet's are extremely sensitive to super high frequencies also. Much can only be generated with something like a plasma driver.
