:o

That randomiser is great! It makes me want to save ALL of the random patches it comes up with!

edit: those random names are great, "Bypass the Pope" :hihi:

Sound:  . Thanks a lot.

GUI: :x it's too small to be of any use :( . I played for a while with the random button, because it's the only way I can use it for more than 5 seconds without strain in my eyes. Call me Mr. Magoo if you like  .

WTF means a h d b d s r :) ?

I understand why people compared it to Synth 1: great sound and ugly like hell :D .

Eventually something intelligent will appear written here. Watch this space.

For those having problems with the GUI size, download the Taskbar Magnifier. :)

From the screenshot and the presets this thing is in a class of its own - #1 !!
Comments? Opinions? Serious bugs I've missed?
My problem is that with my AMD 1ghz machine and win 98se the gui shows only a gray grid looking mess. I cannot see the synth. However the presets work and it sounds great. But I can't tweak it!!!

My hosts are Tobybear's Minihost and CMUZYS. Both exhibit the same problem. And in MiniHost the preset names only display "init." Bt they all work.

Am I the only one with this problem?

Peace,
Choco

And in this corner, wearing the ugly trunks, the challenger: Mediocre Oatmeal, taking on the reigning champeeen from Tokyo also in the ugly trunks: Synth 1! And there's the bell for the first round...

Choco, did you read a page or two back in this thread? Anyone (including me) that doesn't have their display set to 32bit has problems. Hope that's it!

32bit display. Aha, so that's it and I'm screwed. Mine only goes to 24bit. Well, it's pretty old. Time for a new one. Rats, this is the only synth, out of 300 or so, that I have this problem with. :(

From what i can tell, he's going to fix this issue anyway, so don't despair, it's only a matter of time.

I played with the Oatmeal vsti for about an hour (hehe, just realized I just ate oatmeal for dinner too, how odd). I'm not gonna spaz out about it, but I did think it had some really nice touches, pretty cool arpeggiator, lot's of small details I didn't expect to find in what I thought was going to be a very basic Synth Edit vsti, and of course the awesome randomize button. It's surpising quite good and has a lot of panash but no crash, so I have to give it a thumbs up. :tu:

Toine6, Oatmeal isn't a SynthEdit VST, it is programmed in C++. And in my opinion, it beats the bloody snot bubbles out of Synth1 (a synth I always thought was wayyyy overrated anyway, but I actually agree with the Oatmeal lavishing).

Couldn't sleep. I think the colour depth problem is fixed - it is for me, at any rate. Try this.

Have to drop my "thanks" here too. Great jorb!!

Just think what you could pull out of your head if you "programmed" your synths instead of "building" them. I'm not for a minute criticising yours, just iterating how limitless (i imagine) doing it that way would be.
