Just got my receptor Friday from Pro Audio Solutions in Nashville (great guys!), hooked everything up via crossover cable, got remote control running on my powerbook OSX (10.3+) and am able to modify banks, patches, etc. and IT'S AWESOME!!!
HOWEVER, the Receptor drive does not appear anywhere. It does not show up in my local network info under servers (only my Powerbook's HD shows). I have loads of plugins to crossgrade this weekend for a major gig I have this week. I've downloaded a few from Plugorama and have them on my desktop but have nowhere to drop them. Manual states that you must "drag them into the Drop Installers here folder on the receptor HD" but I can't get the receptor HD to show up, therefore, I'm not able to use the GUI Setups tab to get the install n files prompt to occur.
I did encounter a little trouble getting my Mac to see receptor (even after setting the receptor TCP/IP to crossover) and get its IP and had to reboot a few times but its definitely found it and I'm using remote control flawlessly at the moment.
I've scoured the knowledge base and forum and couldn't find any info relating to this specific weirdness. If you have any ideas I'd greatly appreciate them as I NEED HELP
