Superb. I just wanted to give this a go but I see it will not be necessary.

Awaiting for your release.

Not really, there are just "previous patch" and "next patch" buttons - it's kind of half-hearted, I just sort of assumed most hosts wouldn't be silly about patch selection. Apparently FL Studio can't deal with several different patches (e.g. all the empty slots called "Init" in the preset bank) having the same name, though - it just shows them as one, in the demo at least (although it displays the names of the existing patches properly here); but I'm not sure what the crashing is about, as I can't reproduce it so far. Any hints about the specific situation?

Isn't "oatmeal" the suggestion of one kid when they were trying to think of a name for Frosty the Snowman?

Post

I was making patches earlier, and i got about 50 in of the 79 i've done (well, most are saved randoms that have been tweaked, but some are actually my own "from scratch" patches :o :P ) so far and only then did i realise that Oatmeal has its own proprietary format for patches and banks  They still load up fine of course, i'm more commenting on my idiocy :( :P

Edit: It loads individual fxp's, but i made a bank of 64 and it says on load "oops, magic mismatch. couldn't load bank" :P

For now, try this - not sure if it'll work in old projects (that would depend on whether or not FLS saves the bank with the project, rather than just the current patch), but it might work against the patch name problem at least.

Wow, just had a quick try... This thing sees awesome. Thanks Fuzzpilz!
A guy with serious GAS and lots of unused VSTs. But if I someday need them...

OK...like I promised

64 patches for OATMEAL!!

http://tamw.atari-users.net/TC_Oatmeal_1.zip

I will send to PA and to Ben here as well...but for now, they are on my Atari site. Please let me know what you think. Basically, I used the randomizer ( at times) and then edited the Oatmeal out of them until I was satisfied. Lots of Pads, arps , leads and other starangeness. Also some virus like leads..I like'em!

This synth has stopped me from even considering that new virus TI. NO KIDDING!!

What did you use to pack your presets TC? I used the app from patcharena and they don't load using that, but yours load fine.

pack? just winzip.:-)

But first I used Oatmeal on receptor to make my patches, as I was able to program my knob box really fast on receptor. On receptor, they are saved as FXP's. Then used MINI Host to create a bank from them. Then used eXT to edit them some. ( basically volume levels) and then saved as FXB.

That app on PA does not work on all VST's but most of them.

Minihost. Gotcha. It's just that i made a bunch and that one didn't "bank" them properly. Cheers for that. :tu:

Thanks a lot for these Tim! I always like the scary ones--"Solar Winds" takes top honors in that catagory. Gives me chicken skin, as they say hereabouts.
