Returning effects from Receptor to separate DAW Track

Hi,

I was just playing with the Masterverb plug demo, and I think the quality is at least as good if not better than my cheapie TC reverb unit...so for instance, if I wanted to 'verb a vocal in pro tools...

I have had no problem using a uniwire EFX plug instantiated on the vocal track in PT, sending the dry audio to track 1 in receptor that has Masterverb instantiated..and getting a nice, reverbed vocal back on the same track...however, is there a way to return only the reverb to a DIFFERENT ttrack in Pro Tools, so I can automate the reverb level in pro tools? Basically I would like to set up a send/return using uniwire, much like I do using my outboard unit. So far, I haven't figured out how to return the effected audio from the receptor back to a differnt (aux or audio) track in PT. Is this possible?

Thanks for any help you can give!
Matt

PS Im waiting on getting the beta of the vst-rtas wrapper version 2.0.1 from FxPansion...when I get it up and running, Ill report back about the latency issue that I was having earlier.

Matt, add a stereo aux track in Pro Tools. Set its input to bus 1-2. Set its output to your mix L-R. Instantiate Uniwire on the aux track and connect to Receptor Masterverb. Back on your vocal track, use a send to send some vocal to bus 1-2. That will get routed to the aux, to the Receptor and back out to the L-R bus. You'll be able to use the reverb on any channel you want just by sending to bus 1-2.

By the way, this isn't specific to Receptor. Stick any effect you want on the aux and you can send signal from other channels to it.

Make sense?

Jason!

I haven't gotten to try it...but of course it makes sense! duh. I should also to set the Masterverb to 100% wet, so that only reverbed signal comes back on the aux track, right? I don't want any dry signal except for what i mix in from the original track.

Thanks for the help, Jason. I hope I can return the favor one day!

100% wet, exactly! Let me know how it works out. I'm also waiting for the 2.01 plug. 2048 buffer is no fun!
