Wow, Fuzzpilz madness goes VST :o
Still, I have a bug report to file: the random button isn't doing anything in the newest build, no random funny patch names, no parameter changes, nothing. It worked at some point yesterday...
Using Polac's latest adapters in Buzz, if that matters at all.

edit: OK, so it seems to work after all...it's just that the patch name and parameters won't change until I play a note (from a pattern or off my MIDI keyboard). Dunno if it worked like this all the time since yesterday I was running a short melody pattern and just kept hitting random :hihi:

Sure there's not a pop-up question window that's accidentally hidden in the background somewhere?

That's very odd... can't reproduce it, either. (And Polac's adapters are what I do most of my testing on anyway.)

Try this anyway.

Read the edit :)

And this too: No difference with that new build you posted. Still, the randomizer works. It's just that I have to play some notes to see and hear the result (which is what I'd be doing anyway, so what am I complaining...).

It shouldn't work like that, no... that's very disquieting to hear. Is there maybe some new beta (i.e. not the current version on Polac's site) of the adapters floating around that I haven't heard of?

Post

Eeek - it's just asked me whether I feel welcome where I live when I hit the random button????

I suspect the random button is a scam - I reckon Fuzzpilz has programmed and named about 7 billion patches just to make us think that the random function is intelligent!

Not that I know of. I'm using the newest version - 1.1.9.7 (09/01/05) - that's on his website.

Post

But it redraws everything that's changed when it finally does? Another blind attempt...

Post

Yes, it redraws everything that's changed when it fnally does.
No, the newest build didn't change this behaviour (but I'm still not really complaining).

Works perfectly in Orion Platinum! Thanks for a wonderful synth!

I'm up to my old hat tricks again.

What a synth! Has a different flavour(dirtier) than Voyager and is a bit more flexible... great!

Is it possible that you have the loaders "stop process on silence" feature enabled? While it helps to save some cpu time it can cause things like this. Great synth btw Fuzzpilz :)

Post

Oh yes, that might cause it - the random patch is generated immediately, but not actually loaded before the next time process or processReplacing is called. Should have thought of that.

Click here for ezee hi contrast blue and orange skin.

Right click link and "Save Target as". You will need to rename the image to "oatmeal.png" because Imageshack automatically renames images.

I will be releasing more colour combinations later... Have fun!
