Ooo thats nice Majken, cheers, well done

Post

Very nice indeed. :)

As a former hardcore Buzz user, I must say I'm very pleased of Fuzzpilz comeback!
Will test the synth tonight.

Where's the bigger GUI's?

Post

I'm working on one, but it'll take a while. I just thought I'd throw this skinning stuff out here to show I actually am doing something about it. ;)

Woo hoo :tu: With these skins coming up and the quality of this synth, i think a benchmark has been set and that, for devs and users, is a great thing.

Actually, I will. Thanks.

I was making a joke based on the British/American difference in language, pretending that I thought the contraction was a plural. For those who don't know, Americans think that "math" is short for mathematics and "maths" isn't a word. But I'm guessing you knew what I was doing and made a joke back. :->
Yup , just having a laugh.
I hope , then , that we are still cool, mistertoast :-)

Here's the result of my latest bug hunt:

Setting a Mod Envelope 1 target sets the same target in the same slot for Mod Envelope 2. Eyeing through the default skin file, here seems to be the problem:

Code: Select all

@placement
control=metargetsw
action=M1_Target_1
pos=127,234

@placement
action=M1_Target_2
pos=127,246

@placement
action=M1_Target_3
pos=127,258

@placement
action=M1_Target_4
pos=127,270

@placement
control=metargetsw
action=M1_Target_1
pos=275,234

@placement
action=M1_Target_2
pos=275,246

@placement
action=M1_Target_3
pos=275,258

@placement
action=M1_Target_4
pos=275,270
Surely the last 4 entries should be M2_Target_1 through M2_Target_4, right :wink: (edit: yep, just tested it).

Also, another Mod Envelope bug: selecting P1 as target doesn't show the corresponding target in the status bar, in fact the status bar shows nothing at all. Confirmed both for ME1 and ME2.

More magic, this time from majken - your skin makes oatmeal appear approximately 23.4% bigger!

Oops! Thanks, Paul Eye. Fixed.

USER WAVEFORM Pulse Width MOD!!!!!! Ive never seen that before (ok maybe kubik).. but that is so rad for such a.... free synth!
The following statement is true.
The previous statement is false.

This is bigger than the Beatles! Heck, this is bigger than WOODSTOCK, Man! There's a million of us here, Man, the New York Freeway is closed!!! Sorry about the flashback to my hippy days, guys. :oops:

Excellent gui Majken. The contrast is excellent and the colors are sharp, but not garrish. It's pleasant to look at for hours on end. I'm still a little attached to the original Oatmeal color scheme, but this one should be my keeper. :D

Love this synth. Maybe it is all about the effects, but you have to admit that they are better than most on-board effects - much better than Synth1's.

The Randomizer is brilliant. The names chosen are hilariously appropriate at times. The sounds are mostly good keepers - well 1/2 to 2/3 for me anyways, with some tinkering. I spent an hour and came up with a bank full. They still need tweaking a bit, but hey, what a blast.

In a night or two I'll check out the basic synth (raw oscillator, filter combination) to see if Bones and Kriminal are any where near correct, but my first impression says this is more than a brilliant synth. Based on Bones and Krim' synths, they seem to enjoy an edgier, harsher, more "wire-up" sound. Which is very cool. They may be correctly thinking of a correctly eq'ed placement within a mix, while others like myself are thinking/hearing something like, "This thing sounds good to me right in this moment," without regard to a specific song/mix context.

I have been in their shoes before, where I was the odd person out while listening to the "Newest Ubersynth." The mob would be raving and I'd be thinking to myself, "Eh." :shrug:

In this case, Good job Fuzzpilz. Thanks. :tu: :hail:

I'm up to my old hat tricks again.
