all in all they're "relatively" cpu-friendly, i'd say .. being on a g5 dual 2,0.

Yeah, colortone is much lighter than I thought it would be...and freezing/bouncing is the thing to do. Trust me.. colortone free sounds nothing like the pro version. Afterall it IS pro!! 
Seriously, it is quite nice sounding and has a rather pleasant compressor built in (or some weird non-linear thingy).
