You very often use just Hydratone and Colortone? Doesn't that get a little CPU-nasty?

.. sometimes, yes. and if it gets i just freeze the tracks ..
all in all they're "relatively" cpu-friendly, i'd say .. being on a g5 dual 2,0.

Yeah, colortone is much lighter than I thought it would be...and freezing/bouncing is the thing to do. I've been bouncing to audio more lately anyway, that's when the magic really happens, when you release yourself of the possibility of "doing one more MIDI edit". :D

I tried the colortone free, and that certainly did them no favours. I heard well what it did and thought: useless. Suppose i'll give it a spin.

Trust me.. colortone free sounds nothing like the pro version. Afterall it IS pro!! :hihi:

:P

Seriously, it is quite nice sounding and has a rather pleasant compressor built in (or some weird non-linear thingy).

Cheers!

That's exactly what I thought. I was like, "ppppppffffff! WTF's so great about this?", but with this plugin, you can actually hear a huge difference between models. But you may not like it; I shouldn't be talking other musicians into spending money! sorry. :D I'm normally very sceptical about this kind of thing, but boy, am I converted.

I'll second that. While I appreciated the free version, after I tried the pro version I had to conclude they are worlds apart.

Btw, has anyone else placed their order today and gotten URL for download non-demo version? Just curious....

Eh?

The demo IS the full version. You simply buy a response to your challenge. They usually give their codes within the same day you purchase.

Thanks, Kingston - glad I checked in. I thought I read something else on one of the transaction pages. I'll give it a shot now. :)

Actually, here is what I read: (http://www.tritonedigital.com/colortone.htm):
"As soon as your payment clears, we will send your installer.

Sending your installer usually only takes one business day. Feel free to email us if you are concerned."
Am I wrong in reading this as the full-version is its own .exe?
