Am I wrong in reading this as the full-version is its own .exe?
Weird...then why would they have the challenge thingy on the demo? Did you get a challenge code?

I thought I read something else on one of the transaction pages. I'll give it a shot now.
Could be they haven't updated their sales help files to the new system.

Anyway. Just spent a good amount of time playing with this. Yeah the blend mode is something new and has odd "transient expander"-like dynamics going on. Could be useful.

Other than that it sounds like a beefed up version of some of the great aspects I've always liked in hydratone. Colortone just makes it more difficult to achive the same thing. I find the combined effect of warmth and the models very similar to the fire thing in HT, combined with normal equing, it's just more difficult to land the right setting this way. The color knob sounds awfully similar to a simplified version of of the phase function in HT.

I'm a bit unimpressed. I can completely see the use for colortone, but not with hydratone already around.

But with sound quality like this, I can't wait for their compressor, or tape plug. YAY!

Erm. and you say you're using the plugin?

Think McFly think!

Just send their sales addy an email with both the authorization request file as well as clarification if there is another .exe. As soon as I hear back I'll post the details here.

Yes - the demo (with the beep). I had been using the beta.

It goes like this.

every single user gets the same plugin dll. (clever) It now works in demo mode.

it has the "save challenge" "load response" buttons.

Guess what those do, and guess how you get the full version?

I suppose it doesn't help with new customers if their site talks about getting the URL for the full version. That's the old system they had.

I'll have to download the new version of Hydratone. I thought Master Q was smoother. I did like the saturation options with Hydratone but found the interface a little difficult and CPU usage a little excessive. I'll give it another try.

Ah, so their copy is old. That would confuse me too, some conflicting instructions there. I was just wondering if he got the code in his email and didn't notice it.

I'm going to check out Hydratone again. I seem to recall noticing little difference between the model algo's, just like with Colortone Free - but the Hyrdatone is sweeeeet, esp with that "Fire" shizzle.

This plug is sort of hard to understand.. And its poorly documented. What are the A1, A2, B2 etc switches for?

Here's the manual

http://www.tritonedigital.com/betapc/Co ... Manual.pdf

This drop-down menu provides several settings that
affect the convolution process:
1 = Short convolution
2 = Medium convolution
3 = Longer convolution
A = IR windowing is not active
B = IR windowing is active

The longer the convolution, the better the bass
response, but the higher the CPU load.
Windowing attenuates the "ripple" errors that can
occur with convolution, but thins out the bass
response.

Thanks, Kingston (and bduffy).

Yea, it was the contradictory copy on their site that threw me. As for my email from Tritone, so far its only been confirmation of payment (no code in the e-mail)

One last question: I sent my challenge to sales-at-tritonedigital.com - is that where you sent your challenge?

Thanks, guys :)

I've sent it to both supportATtritone and salvatorATtritone during the betas and the final. I think they all work, probably sales, too.

The stew is hot and spices a plenty. I just need to decide on the taster plate size.
