there's at least five DDs within a half mile of my house...I'm a bit north of yah...rpmartino wrote:Meffy wrote:Glazed Krispy Kreme, still hot.
It's a very good thing for me the factory store is on the other side of town from where I live now.
Tim Horton's and Dunkin Donuts fans feel free to substitute whatever you grew up loving; for me it's these, even if they are "too sweet."
I'd be a Dunkin Donuts man, being a Boston guy myself. Love that coffee too!
In fact Krispy Kreme tried to open some stores in the Boston area a few years ago and they are already closing down... DD is too entrenched in the New England way of life I suppose...
Amplitube 2 Jimi Hendrix RELEASED this month!!!

I'm living in Virginia these days, and I thought I'd be giving up DD by coming down here... until one day my wife and I were driving back from the store and to our amazement we saw a brand new DD in one of the shopping plazas... it was a glorious day. Pretty soon there will be three in town!

the dunkin donuts close to where I lived went out of business years ago.
I had a crush on my best friends sister when I was in elem school, she worked at DD. they had some good brownies that's for sure.
I figured DD closed up shop a long time ago.

And I found out just now that a company I have dealt with for years - PSP Audioware - has now switched to the damned iLok dongle for their new products.
I don't have a great aversion to dongles persay; I have not have a problem with Syncrosoft but I will not support Pace (iLok). Too many problems for far too long with Paced products.
I can sort of see why a large host like Cubase would want to use a dongle for protection, but it seems to be getting absurb when small companies putting out a few effects or instruments are resorting to dongles.
Maybe we will one day see developers putting out small Synthedit plugs that will require a dongle to use/demo the program.
(I know I am taking this to a little extreme but I have a bad cold and so I am in a grumpy mood)
Damn...

just curious...what problems have you had with ilok? I don't want to hear about others...just you...I have ilok and never had a problem...my midiman 2x2 screws up my system and sends me a bsod if I use it several times a day...midiman uno is the same...my edirol pcr50 get's "lost" if I use usb to power it...mcafee causes errors fairly often which means reboot or none of my cookies work...that happened before I got ilok, since I got ilok and even if I remove ilok....I get an error message saying windows has caused an error (doesn't need a reboot)...again happened before ilok since I got it and when it's not installed.Rabban wrote:And I found out just now that a company I have dealt with for years - PSP Audioware - has now switched to the damned iLok dongle for their new products.![]()

I'm sure I could blame ilok anyhow if I wanted, but if you ask me the only thing I have found is that most people blame ilok because they want to...not because it's really the problem...in some cases it might be part of the problem, but I think there is another offending piece of hardware or a driver that is causing problems with ilok..not the other way around.
