To make this skin work with the new updated version of Oatmeal you will need to follow these instructions:

1. Download the image from the link above but change the name to "oatmeal.png".
2. Create a new folder in your Oatmeal skins folder and name it "ezeenord" and put the image in there.
3. Copy the default.oms file in the oatmeal skins and paste it back into the same folder.
4. Rename the copy from "Copy of default.oms" to "ezeenord.oms"
5. Open the ezeenord.oms file with wordpad or notepad and find the line that says (it's right near the top of the document):

@global
size=598,416
background=default\oatmeal.png

Change the last line to:

background=ezeenord\oatmeal.png

Now save the oms file and you should be able to load the "ezeenord" skin via the skin button. The only minor incompatability with the new skinning system is that I haven't yet added a "skin" button yet, so you just get a blank block instead of a button (it still works as a button though!).

OR if that all seems a bit much you can wait a little while for me to properly update the skin with new bells and whistles*! I'm guessing some of the "Mr Magoo's" who are struggling with the small gui would like me to do a bigger version as well while I'm at it, huh? :hihi:

*I don't plan to add real bells and whistles... arf!
This looks awesome, but it's missing the 'skin' botton between 'about' and 'random'

I wanted to write to say that I have been using Reason as my sole sound source for some time now, supplemented by Sonic Reality Refills, and lots of other sample based sets from Computer Music and Future Music...

I own Prophet 53 and the B4 organ, and I've downloaded some marvelous free creations from here (thanks all you developers who work so hard on free stuff!)

BUT despite owning a legit copy of SX 3 and the above synths I had not been inspired by any synth, free or otherwise to use SX 3 instead of Reason, until Oatmeal, this synth... WOW. There's just something about the sounds it makes that sit right with my soul. There I said it. I'm a sap.

Thanks and thanks again for such an inspirational tool. :love:

Fuzz, the large GUI exhibits a behavior which can be a little deceptive. If you mouse over some active area, the info box at the bottom will continue to display the name of the function until you mouse over to a new active area. It seems to me that the info box should go blank when you leave an active area.

Otherwise, I'm having a lot of fun with this plug. :love:

The GUI does that, yes (I assume you didn't notice with the original skin because there's less empty space) - it's intended. I guess I could change it if more people found it problematic, though.

Got a chance to play with this for real last night and had a great time. Excellent job, incredibly well done.

I defenitely don't find it problematic, but IMO it'd be useful if, when no parameter values are displayed, it'd just show the patch name. Right now this is only displayed after selecting next/previous or pressing random.

And btw, many thanks for the larger version! Now even your default color choice is making sense, but I guess I will still go for the ezeeboogie or Majken models.

I agree. I found difficult sometimes to know wich preset are you working in.

Ah, I didn't do anything like that mostly because the host I use displays the current program's name in the editor's title bar - I just rather foolishly assumed that most others would do similar things. I'll do that in the next version.

far from mediocre..thanks! got some beautiful sounds from this one :)

Anyone else having problems with Oatmeal crashing the Cakewalk VST wrapper (4.51)? When the scan hits Oatmeal, the wrapper crashes to the desktop :(

Not sure which version I have, but it wrapped fine in SONAR for me. Then again, I wrapped the first version, so maybe a later Oatmeal release breaks the scanning process?

That could very well be; I just got around to wrapping it. I could try an earlier version of Oatmeal and see if that works.
:dog:

EDIT:
And, that doesn't seem to be the problem. I tried with the earlier version I had on my drive- same result.

Oh well, I can always load it in Chainer or EXT in Sonar...
