I tried Oatmeal just because of all the praises around here (I'm not into electronica, and have no sound designing skills) and had so much fun with it I had to make a track out of my experiments. Well it's my first try at electronica and first track using a single VSTi so don't expect too much. I aimed at making nowadays-TV-series kind of sounds (CSI, Nip/Tuck,...), oh and there's no particular ending to it. Is it any OK ?
Oatmeal Cheul
@Fuzzpilz : thanks for the inspiring instrument.
@Majken : thanks for the cool skin.

Just for fun, new skin..............randrian
randrian is a combination of mondrian and random if you need an explanation, but now that I think about it, it is stupid! All the text and info has deliberately been hidden.

I'll upload the skin later just in case anybody would like it!

I can't upload it from work!

You know Charlie I thought about this too. However if you just use #'s in the skin file you can remove the controls completely from the interface. Meaning you can just keep the random button, make it big and phat and resize the GUI to only show the random button. Or so I think anyway, it's worth a shot.. right?
And that's really what Fuzzpilz should've done for a first release. Just a big random button. That would have really made people curious when they were hitting a single button and never got the same sound twice

Ok this was a very quick version, but you'll get the point

http://www.majken.se/images/oatmeal-randomizer.zip
It's 200x100 pixels wide meaning you can easily run it always on top all the time. It has 4 buttons left on the interface as you can see. The about button, the skin button, a patch save button and last but not least the random button. Have fun!

Exactly, I thought about adding a Bank Save button as well, but hey.. that's kinda cheating.. isn't it?Charlie wrote:Majken: Randomizer
This is actually very good.
If you like the patch, the only option you have is to save it and then edit it later if you must.

Great idea, that randomizer skin.
Don't think I'll ever be actually using it, but I like the concept
And it'll be pretty cool to fool people.
