Event Players

Hi,
Did you ever use Muzys' Event Players?
Assigning "Event Player" to a part makes that each event of that part can have it's own player.
This is very special, maybe even too special, maybe even confusing for newbies...
So i'm not sure whether to add this feature to Muton.
Do you want Event Players to be implemented in Muton?
Or do you simply want to assign a player to a part and that's it?

I don't think it should be in the "free" (and "easy" version). I think, perhaps, it should be in the full-featured version. It's a way to do drum programming, you see, without having a multiplayer to direct the part at. (If there will be multiplayers, then there's less need for event players.)

I agree with what you say.
Maybe it's better to not have them, will make the application easier
Multiplayers indeed is on the list.

And I think it was probably only me wanting them, anyway... particularly by the look of the poll so far
(I voted "No"!).

well it helps when you import midi files unless you plan to automatically split midi files to parts by channel... i like the option to keep tracks togeher from an imported midi file.

I never really knew what it was actually but the drum programming argument bought me
I agree it might be too far out for newbies - I've used Muzys for two years not touching it

Interesting thoughts guys, thanks!
About drum programming: let's use MultiPlayers for that, coming lateron.
About import midi files: when you import a midi file, maybe the midi-channel could be preserved using event-players, but you would have to set the actual players anyway for the midi file to sound good, right?
Conclusion: let's at least 'hide' the Event Player functionality for now. Maybe it will disappear without pain...
