Hi,

is there any chance that you will do a physically modeled clavinet vsti. afaik there is only ticky clav, and this sounds terrible.

cheers, akj

There's also this one:

Plugsound Free module also has a clav

There are some good Clavinet models in Tassman and String studio (by the legendary Harm Visser) but you can get close with Modelonia too. Nothing beats Logic's EVD6 though imho.

thanks guys. tassman is im ooverkill for just getting a pm clavinet. I have clav1 which is nice (also reviewed it) but I think with pm one could get even better results.

String Studio...

plus it has a lot more

AKJ and aMused, I have one suggestion, aMused could do a clavinet patch for Modelonia and record an esample, then AKJ will tell us what it misses for a good emulation, so I could use the Modelonia engine for a custom synth
which perhaps will be a great clavinet, in that case AKJ and aMused would get it for free of course

that a nice idea luisi. I am ready if aMused is. I just doubt that I have the know-how to really help aMused, but let's try. I just have an idea on how it should sound, that's all.

well, let me add some ideas: ticky clav sounds imo to steril (too few overtones? not sharp/distinct enough). clav1 has the right basic sound, but no release and is less variabile. That could be the strong part of pm. I think one should also add a control for some parameters (like in loung lizard) to change their amount over the scope of the keyborad (eg less effect of high notes than on low ones), and, of course, to change character with velocity.
