I'm a little confused as to why there would be beta testing if the plug was still unfinished?
Because you beta-test in order to finish it, maybe?

Is your new ampsim being formally beta tested?
This was a kind of "the" beta test,
the new engine and extras change little
of the over-all structure of the amp.

So I am confident that it will work on over 99%
of all systems.

Anyway, people should always try the demo version
to make sure that everything is running well. ;)

So, enough said.
Thank you all for your kind words and critics !

Demo? Beta? Huhn? Forget it, I have no idea what's going on. I just thought a beta was a pre-release testing version.

And then 2.0 could be the new one you're working on. ;) Made some more money from either new customers (who didn't buy into 1.x) or upgrades (if it's an impressive enough upgrade for 1.x customers to upgrade). Then, you also wouldn't have had to deal with people harshing your mellow. :D

Maybe Midiworks is too rich to even think about small things like that

IS this back,,? I think it was a ll B.S. It probabbly was some sick game played by the Ik devolopers doing Amplitube 2 , which will never get released either..

If not, Midiworks could have had a real winner and he said it isnt about the money, but when this sim was holding its own(at least seemed like it was) that should be all the motivation one man needs to get his sim out before the big boys (IK, N.I) and cash in like a motherf**ker,, but I think he blew it... or he was just way off in his estimates, which is understandable, but he did say it was basically finished... SO who cares really, I lost all interest in this

Yeah, I've lost interest too. I'm more interested in FreeAmpSE than this one. (It has a much better chance of getting released too.)

Actually, I never said that.
After all this time, efforts, energy and money invested,
we NEED to have a winner.

Okay, it is my fault, that I always come up with a new idea
but this one, I really, really wanted inside the amp for quite some time.
So in the end, all those delays mean nothing else than giving you an even better amp sim.
And this new function will make a big difference for everybody who will be using the amplifier in the end.

A few days ago, I downloaded the demo version of one of the major players amp sim.
Okay, maybe this sounds arrogant, but I really laughed my butt off, what they give you for $500...
There were simply worlds between the two amp simulators.
So, some may say, we are too slow releasing but the difference to any other amp Sim
is so huge that I'm not worried in the slightest that you will feel the same,
the moment you will be able to get your hands onto the thing.

Apart from the distortion, responsive simulator and some effects,
everything inside the amp is totally new.
The whole way the engine is working is built on a totally new concept
and this new concept is simply working fantastic.

In the end, you, the users, will profit from those many inventions
that came together over this long development period.

I'm sorry Rene...but the first thing that popped into my head was an image of Fred Flintstone in his garage mixing up that softdrink that made Barney invisible...what he call it? 701 up or something like that because that's how many attempts he made before that one...:hihi:

Just sarcsam I assure you...:tu:

no that was Gilligan's Island :dog:...now I'm really worried...this amp sim isn't gonna be an oboe emulator or something is it? :hihi:

okay, but aren't you afraid of new releases of those 'major players'?
why don't you release your work, as it is done NOW?

I mean, your amp is not a dead-born-projekt like amplitube2 is (I've heared the sound-demos on the IKMM-pages and read
a lot of squidse-witzes ;-).

so what are you afraid of, Rene? I really don't understand.
all in all, your last posts are very confusing - but maybe that's YOUR marketing... who knows?

NI sureley releases vers.2.5, 3, vers.3.5, vers.4...5 (like reaktor) in the next years - so I think, your 'marketing-strategy' maybe
could be kinda wrong, if you want to make some bucks in the end.

and always remember the new hardware in the next month/years (Intel- double, triple, quadro-proc's - macbookpro etc. pp).
new engines!?!! ... well others will have new engines too!

e.g. Line6 is working on new 'recording-tools' (imho with propellerheaads) ...the kids will love this ;-)
steinberg/h&k's next work (warp2??) isn't out yet; others like you are very quiet! ...and so on, blabla.

just release your work as vers. 1.0, or whatever, so we all can give you feedbacks.

I was off this ampsim-threads at kvr since november because of touring, so I was a bit disapointed,
that I don't had the chance to download your x-masamp... maybe there is a chance to get a dl via pm?

good look :-)
