Zebra 2.0 is the best Virtual Analog VSTi there is in my opinion. It sounds so alive, crisp and dynamic. At the same time, as long as your careful, the CPU usage is good compared to similar VSTis such as VAZ & Tera 2. The real beauty of Zebra 2 is that it is a real V.A- doesnt use sampled wavetables.

I downloaded the preview a week ago and have written 5 hard trance tunes with it already- havent felt that inspired since I first bought my Virus B. Along with Cakewalk Rapture and Fab Filter Twin, I think virtual analog VSTis have come of age!!!

Buy Zebra 2, its worth every penny!!!!!!!!

Why isn't Zebra more well known
Because it used to be Mac only.

btw if you tell everyone about Zebra 2, they will all have the same sounds that you have :).

Yeah, but I make my own sounds.

Yes. We are the Zebruminati. 8)

I kinda enjoy its semi-anonymity. Forums tend to be friendlier when a product is not huge, and I enjoy reading the posts here.
Of course, I do hope that Urs does well out of this though, as I've enjoyed using Z2 more than any other synth (sw or hw) pretty much going back to when I used to have just my Kurzweil K2000. That now sits in the corner of my room gathering dust.

Isnt it pretty expensive? That might be the reason. While I have heard it sounds EXCELLENT!!
The following statement is true.
The previous statement is false.

Worth every penny.

As M'snah said, Zebra was Mac-only until now. This is the real reason, imho.

Not really expensive, unless you compare it to the freeware SE synths. But compared to Albino, Absynth, Symptohm, Tera, etc., it's priced quite reasonably.

Post

Definately not too expensive! If though I must wait for 1 or 2 months to buy it. I have the demo working since lot of weeks and it is a different world. I don't know what contemporary hardware synth could compare with it and how expensive would it be?
Well done, Urs!!!

Oddly enough, it is going to sell massive numbers in Asia due to it's "Year of the Zebra" marketing campaign.

it simply isn't actually FINISHED yet, and right now urs likes it quiet, to finish the coding.

exactly. I for my part will wait until I have a real product without time- and other limitations I'd have to worry about

The more I hang around at KVR the less music I make.
