Hi,
Just bought R.S.P 73 from Scarbee and want to load it on my Receptor. I have 2GB of RAM and 200GB drive. I copied the Kompakt folder and 24bit sample folder over to my Samples folder on Receptor.
Load up Kompakt. Find the program icons in the browser. When I drag accross the biggest file to the window, apart form having to locate all the samples, after about 50% loaded it says im running low on memory. How can this be as I have 2GB on board.
I have never used Scarbee before so Im not sure what all the little icons next to the program names mean.

Just ot say Im not running DFD. The first 3 in order of memory size load up, the last one leaving 23 percent out of my 2GB memory. The last 2 are too much memory. Am I right in thinking that if you want to use the last two biggest versions you have to set up DFD?
Any advice appreciated

You are correct.c3boy wrote:Just ot say Im not running DFD. The first 3 in order of memory size load up, the last one leaving 23 percent out of my 2GB memory. The last 2 are too much memory. Am I right in thinking that if you want to use the last two biggest versions you have to set up DFD?

But if you are able to batch convert the samples to 16 bit, you will be able to load the largest lite version (12V lite) comfortably into RAM without DFD. This gives you the maximum amount of velocity layers, it's just that not each key is individually sampled. Nothing is stretched more than a 1/2 step though.

Hmmm,
Iv accidentely saved the rhodes patch and all its samples within kompakt in the instruments folder, and it wont let me delete the RSP sample folder. I only meant to save the patch. How can I delete it?

You'll need to ask Farhan for a "permission fixer" program to be able to delete this folder and the files within it.c3boy wrote:It keeps saying write protected, It's saved the folder to the piano and keys folder in kompakt and I can't get it out now. Anybody know a way around it?
