Controlling FL Studio from an MPC

I have what I think is a simple question, but I've been fiddling around all day long and have had no luck whatsoever. I'm trying to control FL Studio from my MPC, just because I prefer the MPC sequencer to the FL Studio one. I'd like to be able to control the separate channels of Fl Studio from separate MIDI channels from the MPC. I'd also ideally like to be able to sync FL Studio as a slave to the MPC with MIDI Time Clock (mainly just to be able to test out loops quickly with FL Slicer).

As far as I can tell, you can't do this with FL Studio alone -- it just sends all MIDI channels to the currently selected FL Studio channel, and it doesn't act as a MIDI Sync slave.

SO: I'm looking to find a host that will allow me to do this. Does anybody have any suggestions? The best luck I've had is with EnergyXT, which allows me to control the individual channels, but as far as I can tell it doesn't support MIDI Sync. Anybody know anything that would solve my problem? Or am I just out of luck?

Many thanks!
Nick

Thanks, I'll have to take a look. But I'm not sure I'll be able to track down a copy of that magazine. Any other suggestions? I got closer this morning -- found a nice program called Minihost, which seems to support MIDI Clock Sync and separate MIDI channels. Only problem is it seems it doesn't recognize the start/stop transport from the MPC, which makes it kind of hard to use as a slave!

The MPC sequencer cannot be arranged to sequence the FL patterns. The FL patterns don't support separate timecode & MIDI messages from what I remember.

Actually, I take it back -- apparently Minihost is the solution I'm looking for. I fiddled around with the FL Studio settings while running it as a plugin from within Minihost, and now apparently the sync does work -- at least, the start part of the transport works properly. Stop, rewind, fast forward don't seem to do anything, so I have to manually rewind the sequence to the beginning to sync it up so it starts properly, but apart from that it works great! MIDI channels are recognized properly and sent to individual MIDI channels.

Just an update in case anyone has the same problem I had!
