So on the front page of a KVR I saw that the German mag KEYS will have a free, fully functional version of Samplitude SE! This seems like a pretty big giveaway as it has a lot of features still:

Features:

* Up to 48 audio-tracks.
* Unlimited number of MIDI-tracks.
* VST2 support.
* Rewire support.
* Vocoder.
* Amp simulation.
* Tempo delay.
* Compressor/limiter section.
* and much more

Anybody know where I can get this mag here in the states (specifically Bay Area Cali)? Obviously, I'm asking someone who buys it on a regular basis or has at least seen it somewhere, who might know (I know Borders, B&N, etc MIGHT carry it...).

Seems like a good deal to me as well....I'm guessing it involes ordering it which is fine with me....The main question I have is if the SE version has language options. If it has english I'll have to order it for sure.

Seems the more I post the less posts I have, must be some inverse relationship happening

Just goes to show, that the market must be pretty saturated, if they can give this away for free.

There's some details not listed though. Bitdepth, sample rates, vst2 support (does that mean only effects or does it include instruments as well), and of course language options....some pretty important info left out, but still probably well worth it.

Sounds interesting. Does anyone know if this magazine is usually stocked in the UK?

issue 05/06 - released on Thursday, March 29th, at Musikmesse
two things:
next thurday isn't march 29th.
will this issue be a special one and available at musikmesse only or will that se version of sam come with every issue?

i wonder if that version qualifies for upgrades.

Hmmmmm... UK mag Computer Music are also putting their new host on the cover of the next issue... I wonder if the timing is just a coincidence?

The KVR fact checker has been sacked ;)

Seriously how do i get this mag in the USA??
The following statement is true.
The previous statement is false.

Why? Surely it is a KVR Fact that Next Thursday is, and always will be, March29th; maybe just not a real world fact..

I wonder if it'll require a dongle? :?:

I've heard it supports both VST effects and instruments (no insts included though) and it has a "powerful sample editor".
