Lovin' EWSO Gold Strings, but...

I'm really enjoying this collection but with no reverb on at all, I still find most of the patches quite 'wet'.
I'm assuming it's the natural ambiance from where the samples were recorded.
I've been trying to tweak my faves so that they sound a bit more dry, with slightly shorter decays...

Is this possible?
Where do I do this ~ in the Filter Envelope?

Has anyone else experienced this and have the adjustment?

Can I access those 'RT's' (release trails?) they discussed in Gold?

EWQLSO is really mean't to be used as a wet, realistic orchestra that sounds like a hollywood scoring stage. The VSL library that comes with kontakt 2 is dry.
