.. if AT2 will prove to be stable here it's gonna be a big love of mine.
tobi just arrived (my songwriting partner of sorry computer) and i could easily impress him, and that's quite interesting me thinks: in the beginning we just had AT1, when we started the band 1,5 years ago. we always quite liked it. then i got GR2, and while trying to find and tweak for good sounds he then started to say "come on putte, gimme that old one we always used, that amplitube thingie." he just never liked GR2.
and today i showed him AT2 .. and he went "boah, thats impressive!" ..
it can really sound "expensive" and meaty, with warmth and an attitude.
i also showed him comparisons with GR2, and he just gave me a tired smile .. hrhhrr.
though, already had my first crash when trying to switch presets.
squids - i'll pass by tomorrow, or thursday morning ..
.. nice to meet you again, sir!

hehehehe, the first time I went to Germany to do some work, I discovered AZERTY keyboards.......I would look over at the screen and think WTF? All the german guys I was working with just laughed at me(they were good guys who bought me many beers !!!). Anyhow, I went from 100ish wpm to a one finger wonder.multree wrote:god i hate these different keyboard layouts

Well, remember that this is likely to be an automated system. If you choose one option and register it to another dongle then you won't be able to get the key by waiting.MickGael wrote:Squids,
Thanks for the update. A quick question:
If you go for the download, do you then not get a dongle at some future date in the mail? I ask because my Cubase dongle is in poor condition, and I was looking forward to a new one.
I think its entirely fair for pre-purchase customers to be allowed to both get the download, as well and the boxed version. After all, as the dongle is the critical component there can be no reasonable objections to both having the box shipped (with the dongle) and downloading a copy, as well.
I think there are some stipulations with syncrosoft regarding licenses and what companies pay for when things are registered etc etc (really don't know the details so forgive me on this as I am not authorized to say a thing nor do I even know admitedly since I personally don't deal with that kind of stuff with my company, SR).
As far as any system dealing with thousands of people you'll have to choose one of the two options. Now if you have a key or pick one up cheap or Later for free. That said, when the dust clears you can always just ask and see. Ask for a box or printed manual if you really wanted one too. Although save the trees (and the whale) if you don't need it.
I am sorry. I will be learning more about the key and all the ways in which it works when/if we start to carry them ourselves on www.esoundz.com I have this idea where we allow people to buy a key and return it toward the price of a product that comes with one but I have to investigate to make sure that is really possible... but sounds like a nice idea. Problem is at the end of the day with shipping and things the actual cost of the key is not really that much relatively. I'd almost just rather give someone a discount the price of the key on something they else they buy on esoundz (heck, maybe even if you bought the key somewhere else! It's not that big a deal). If that is important to anyone we'd do that for you on esoundz.
The important thing is to just prepare to enjoy the heck out of AT2 as soon as possible now that it is finally here.
