i ordered the receptor/colossus bundle from sounds online on march 17th, and still no word on shipping information. how long did it take other people here before it would ship?
my credit card has been charged and now my order isn't showing up under "my account" on their website. i havne't ever dealt with this site so i'm not sure if they are trustworthy or not...i just can't wait to get my receptor rocking!

"we charge your CC then hand the order off to Muse for them to build it".
So I called Muse and they were in the process of building it. (So, off topic, I took the opportunity to have them throw in another 1GB stick of RAM, and I'm glad I did).
I got it maybe three weeks after I ordered, but Muse was pretty busy and the guy (yes, one guy at the time) that does the custom builds was out sick for several days. They were very nice and communicative on the phone and via email (which is more than I can say for E/W, they were a little abrupt and not all that helpful).
In retrospect, I DON'T think that E/W should be charging CC's until Muse ships the unit. They need to communicate better. I believe that charging a CC two weeks early borders on fraud. But, all's well that ends well. Don't fret, both of these companies are very repudable.

ok thanks for the information.
i called Muse and they were pretty unhelpful as well. she wasn't able to see where in the queue my order is, and stated that they are waiting on a new production build of the receptor from a NEW manufacturing facility and they don't know how fast they are.
that kinda scares me a little bit that a new place is building them. it also doesn't give me much confidence that they can't see my order and tell me where it is. i was told from sounds online when i order it i should RECEIVE it in 10 days...well, that's not happening. hopefully it doesn't take another month, i have shows coming up that i wanted to use it for.

so it's now been 3 weeks since i have ordered the receptor/colossus bundle, and soundsonline is not returning my emails asking for an update. i'm starting to get concerned. no one at muse could help me either when i called last week. i understand it takes some time to put these together, but sounds online told me i would have it in my hands 10-14 days after i ordered it...here it is 21 days and still no information about when it will ship. any ideas?

Pretty soon, you will have to pay your credit card bill (if you haven't already) and still no shipping info...man, that is really bad business. I hope you get a response on this.

Not that it is ANY comfort to you...but I waited about 4 weeks (bought it from Sweetwater) for mine to ship. Then when I got it, I had to send it back to Muse exactly one week later due to a power supply issue... EVEN WITH ALL THAT, I still think it has been worth it. Once you get it integrated into your setup, whatever that may be, you will love it. Keep the faith man.
