Hey Jo,
sorry for not having contributed so much of late but it seems like PLJones et al beat me to everything
--------
-the Graphics are indeed much smoother now (OSX Panther)! Feels a hell of a lot of more stable now - psychology eh?? :)

-I love the "exit" button on the piano roll, it makes things much more convenient.

-apple+Q = Quit, yay! Feels more natural to quit the app that way.

Haven't found any nags yet, I'll have a more deliberate look for bugs later on.

First impression: :tu:

Previous versions have not had any problem with this VST.

I'll clear out, reboot and have another go.

Yes, same error next time.

style.css replacement with "unnecessary" fontsizes removed and remainder translated to percentages ;)

luna hates anarchy stuff. its had problems with both swarm synth and anarchy rhythms. i have been using them up till now.

im also missing a mix knob and a bypass button for insert effects... i think it would be convenient to my mixing methods were they to be added.

i would like to hereby preorder the pro version of this baby lol! i cant wait for multiple mixer channels for audio bits.

Beta 5 now much smoother in OSX (10.4.5) except for the one glitch I have spotted so far:

Select a group of midi notes (or all notes) in part editor and try to move them - results in strange interfernce pattern in GUI

Navigation is now much more intuitive and all your tweaks seam to be making Luna very stable indeed. I have not made it crash yet, but I will keep trying!

Looking good!

But possible bug:
When using a VST with a large number of presets (e.g. Crystal, FM7, etc, not all the presets are shown in Luna's list. Luna does not show scroll arrows on the preset's list, even though Luna allows you to scroll one item down from the list, and from this position, back up one item. To see all presets, you must view them from within the synth's own interface. However, the left and right buttons do allow you to scroll through the preset list from with Luna's own interface.

Suggestions:
Should have an 'unsolo track' option. Maybe Ctrl-Click toggles the solo on and off.

When adding the VST list, give the list windows a fat bottom border (!) so an OK button will fit in the border. This will be a neater way of closing the window (instead of top-right 'x') as well as listing the VSTs just added

Wishlist:
1. duplicated (copied and pasted) midi parts should be independent of their source part.
2. Like to see the option to loop audio clips
3. Like to be able to select a portion of audio and right-click 'create clip' to save to a file.
4. Would like to see and 'end' flag in the audio editor as this would allow more precise control over end point. Currently, you must either use the pencil tool within the compose window to draw the end of the part - which is strictly defined by quantisation, or you must mute the un-needed audio from within the audio editor.

Strange that it has a problem now, and not in beta 3.

Can't think of what could have changed in hat field.

Google didn't tell me much about "GrMach2b063". Do you know which plugin it belongs to?
style.css replacement with "unnecessary" fontsizes removed and remainder translated to percentages ;)
Mmm, if i install this style.css, i get a too large font...

Which browser do you use?
What resolution do you work with?
Can you make a full screen shot of how it appears with the packaged style sheet?

beta 5 is the first beta I'm testing so chances are I'm asking for things that have already been discussed to death...

- I'm surprised there seems to be no mouse-wheel support at all...
Is it planned for v1? I think no modern sequencer should go without...

- there seems to be something wrong with the plugin-scan - COFX Copier crashes Luna during the snapping (faulty memory allocation) - on the next start Luna says: 'Copier.dll seems to cause a problem during the plugins-can - it will be ingnored at the next scan' - but the next scan has the exact same problem - Copier crashes Lunna - it is not ignored

- there is no indication nor do I seem to be able to influence which track I am recording to

- there seems to be no way to solo tracks

- even if snapping is off I can't draw several volume-events in one go
(e.g. to draw a fade)

- I don't think I like the way automation is drawn

- will there be support for audio-recording?

Do you mean that it has been working well up to beta 4, and not in beta 5?

I downloaded the swarmsynth demo, and plugged it in in beta 5.

Don't see an immediate problem. What problem do you encounter?
im also missing a mix knob and a bypass button for insert effects... i think it would be convenient to my mixing methods were they to be added.
On the whishlist.

The shop will be opened one of these days.

Will you be the first one :) ?

Cheers!

Great, thanks for feeding back!
except for the one glitch I have spotted so far:

Just checked dragging group of notes with beta 5 on 10.3.2.
Don't see a problem.

Can you make a screenshot (command+shift+3) of that?

Every first time I try to switch views using TAB button for selected part I have some delay lag. There was no problem using double click for that.

True. Will be improved!

Strange thing. That was added in beta 4, but it slipped away somewhere...

Will be added in the next version.

Good idea :)

I don't agree.

I do agree however that you should have the choice of making a ghost copy or a real copy.

For now: copy the part, and then choose Duplicate Sequence from the parts context menu.
2. Like to see the option to loop audio clips
Specialized audio clip support is one of the important things on the whishlist
4. Would like to see and 'end' flag in the audio editor as this would allow more precise control over end point. Currently, you must either use the pencil tool within the compose window to draw the end of the part - which is strictly defined by quantisation, or you must mute the un-needed audio from within the audio editor.
True. It's on the whishlist.

Important note: Muting a section in an audiofile does destructively change that audio file :!:

In fact, all edits in the audio lab are performed directly on the actual audio file.

So take care of backing up important audio files.

You do have 8 levels of Undo though.

Right, coming very soon!
What's COFX Copier? Is it a VST plugin? (can't find a link...)

Concerning "will be ignored" -> but it doesn't: will check that asap.
- there is no indication nor do I seem to be able to influence which track I am recording to
Indeed. A new recording is placed on a new track. Then you can move the recording to where you want.
- there seems to be no way to solo tracks
Control-click (Osx: command-click) on a track mute.
- even if snapping is off I can't draw several volume-events in one go
(e.g. to draw a fade)
For notes you mean?
- I don't think I like the way automation is drawn
Breakpoint automation curves are on the whishlist, for a later version.
- will there be support for audio-recording?
There already is :)

Activate the little audio button near the record button in the Transport Panel!

Also note that you can right-click (osx: control-click) the record button for specific options like which inputs to record from etc...

It seems to be a display refresh problem.

Once you move the mouse the display is updated.

That's why it didn't occur when double clicking.

Issue will be resolved asap!
