There's a lot to try, but one thing I noticed is that even with 2 GB of RAM installed, I cannot get Ivory to use more than about 50% of the RAM available. At least that's what I see in the Setup tab under "Info". I've been getting some glitching at the 40 voice setting with buffers at 128 samples, so I'll fiddle with less voices and fewer buffers, and see what happens.
Does anyone else with 2 GB RAM see the same kind of low RAM utilization I'm seeing? It just seems like it could load more sample data into RAM if it wanted to...

It's strange, I actually get more reliable performance with Ivory (so far) at lower buffers. 32 is generally good as long as you watch your voice settings. 64 is rock-solid.
I also see the same RAM issue as ecforbes. However, the extra RAM does make a big difference. I'm guessing there are usage spikes that cycle through that aren't tracked by the RAM usage "meter" because they happen so fast.
