I'm sorry but, are you all mental?

Fruity loops is a better drum sequencer than Cubase?

Do you prefer Schlitz beer over Heineken also?

Cubase is an incredibly powerful sequencer. There's nothing you can't do with it.
Erm...not even close on that analogy. I had both Sonar4 and FL Studio and for eight months kept switching between the two trying to make up my mind which to use (to create rock tunes with VST instruments). Finally a bug in my VST guitars and drums made the decision for me as it only works well in Sonar...a known bug with the VST not FL. It was such a tough choice I had to delete every trace of FL to avoid further temptation, coz there's things about it I'm gonna miss...especially the sound of the FX.

I would never in a million years pick Cubase over FL though. And I doubt you can do anything in Cubase that you can't get done in FL6. It's just done differently in some cases. Considering the difference in price and the fact that you get free lifetime upgrades with FL, someone might be getting a bum steer if they're convinced to get Cubase over FL. Oh, and no dongle, heh heh.

Well listen, it's been a while since I played with ol' Fruitay Loops, but from what I 'member there's no way to have different time signatures one particular song, is there? No way to nudge a hit off the beat a little either, no? Every hit is automatically perfectly quantized. No way to change bpm's in a song. Can you load up different velocity layers? I sure don't remember being able to do that either.

Alls I know is that when I finally broke down and purchased SX3 it opened up a whole new world I never even knew existed.

*edit - Like I say it's been a long time since I used FL, so it might do some of those things now. I know it's been updated like three times since I used it. Still, how can FL be BETTER? I don't see it being able to do something that Cubase can't.

I was very happy, when I got ta-ta-poum, because I'm working with redrum daily. But the cpu!!! And there was no documentation; so I needed some time to discover the additional features. I like it anyway. Thanks!

This is just pant-tastic...

I can see it , read it..even click on little widgets to see wht they do...but no download....keke...Sod is my law...

but Thanks for That D-Fusion...I eagerly await for this while rocking back and forth in a corner , dribbling...

Warren...u know...i totally understand your point too..I was there from when fruity was considered a toy and am guilty myself of being a Philistine...its all relative to the type of music ur making...it just really bothers me tht wht takes me 10 seconds on a real drum kit takes me an hour on a grid...and even then u dont quite get all the nanuces....maybe because i've come from a band scenerio , i know eaxtecly how expressive a drum kit can be and should sound...if i wanted tht i would just start band again...now i just want a simple beat tht breathes and is obviously electronic and make the focus on chords and melodys..i know fruity could somewht be limited...but tht is wht i need...after all...i;m a guitarist first , anything with more then 4 knobs confusees me...

oh , if anyone could be kind enough to send me the DLL for the tata poem , tht would be great...
That's all I wanted to do as a kid. Play a guitar properly and jump around. But too many people got in the way. - Syd Barrett
