I can create tens of thousands of rays to make the IR's very quickly, but not in realtime. So you'll get lovely sounding spaces, but not be able to move through them very quickly. You'll get parametric EQ for the wall dampening, which will give you some really unusual sounds, but possibly lose the diffusion engine that gave you really long tails. Four channel IR's will be created so surround-sound will remain.
My question is, does anyone actually care about the real-time nature of the reverb, in respects of actually moving around in the rooms, or would you prefer very dense IR's with a low cpu usage playback instead?
Saying 'why not both' is not all that helpful as they will not sound or look the same, and would ultimately be a little confusing.
Cheers, any input would be welcome,
