your english is alright!
It would be interesting later to post some clean DI takes, then to run them in GR2 and AT2 to compare the tone. Not to start a war of which one is better, just to see the difference...

Niksounds - Have you tried puting a compressor between the amp sim and the speaker sim, and then another after (just compresss the peaks, lightly)? That really seems to bring it forward to me - maybe we are talking about two different concepts, though.
I was having trouble getting the kind of tone in your second clip - but from your clip I think a lot of what I was trying to get out of it comes down to recording/studio techniques that I am not really up on.

And i agree a lot your opinion : "Not to start a war of which one is better, just to see the difference"
This is the way to obtain a good tone, FOR ALL INSTRUMENTS also.
yeah, those finally are wonderful words..
Ciao Melodioso!

There is a compressor on the master. It's on fly record

Oh - don't misunderstand - I really like your clips!! I was talking about trying to get that "in your face" thing when I suggested the compressor between the amp sim and speaker sim. But, again, we all might not even mean the same thing by "in your face".Niksounds wrote:Yep, but not between amp and speaker simguitarzan wrote:Niksounds - Have you tried putting a compressor between the amp sim and the speaker sim, and then another after (just compresss the peaks, lightly)? Please, dear sirs, not in the faces...guitarzan wrote:But, again, we all might not even mean the same thing by "in your face".
A guy with serious GAS and lots of unused VSTs. But if I someday need them...

You know, I hate to admit it at this point even a 4 day delay only reinforces the conclusion I think I'm coming to....not going to buy any more IK stuff.
I'm not being petulant. It's the cumulative effect of how they have handled this whole thing. Squids has been great, but even if I love AT2 (whenever it finally arrives) I have to say this has left a bad taste in my mouth.
Then again, maybe the lesson I should learn is no more pre-ordering.

errr.....how can you have a bad taste about pre-ordering if you aren't going to buy?MickGael wrote: I'm not being petulant. It's the cumulative effect of how they have handled this whole thing. guitarzan, I won't be able to deliver proper high gain sounds I think. My current guitar (just one because I'm touring) isn't capable of such sounds. Ar least not exactly...

No problem, Sascha. I think I realise now that much of that modern hi-gain tone is doubling, etc - and probably cannot really be duplicated in one track. That's the part I've not understood. It's not my thing anyway - but it would be cool to have on tap!

I've already paid for the upgrade/pre-order. True, I did get v1, but (though its a fine product) my purchase was entirely for AT2.
My irritation is due to the fact that the crossgrade price incentive ended before AT2 was even released, making it a leap of faith. I was very impressed with GR2, so I had to trust I'd like AT2 as much.
The bad taste comes from the delays. I would never be allowed to have such incredibly fluid deadlines where I work. I'm sorry, but I think it's unprofessional.
But let me be clear: there are no bad feelings for Squids. As always, he's been a gentleman through this whole thing. But when you look at the legendary SampleTank 2 delay, AT2 seems like part of a frustrating pattern.

Well, I actually owe you an apology. I read this here part;MickGael wrote: Hi SJ_Digriz,.....
then the part about pre-ordering. I took that as a contradiction. But, the coffee is finally kicking in and even a dumbass like me can see that you were talking about future IK products based on your purchase of this one.MickGael wrote: You know, I hate to admit it at this point even a 4 day delay only reinforces the conclusion I think I'm coming to....not going to buy any more IK stuff.

Btw: I have just received my notification email from IKM! I won't be downloading since I am expecting the boxed version by next week. I am really psyched since I did enjoy the GR2 demo and am now expecting at least as much good stuff from from AT2.
Wah Wah! Weeeeeeee!
