it's honorable from MW to wait till his plug is %100 finished, with all the features and without bugs.

however not to release any info is questionable: with GR2 and AT2 out now, many people in need of an amp sim are going to buy one or the other... they'll probably NOT wait even more for a plug with no web page, no pics, and just a few (good sounding) demos on a forum...

oh well..

I've used "xmas tube" a little bit on some demo work and I just about can't stand the wait. I'm in the mood to buy something, but I'm trying to wait. :)

I've had a bunch of sansamps and they are very cool for some things- especially if you run them through some sort of speaker simulator (despite what they say- it sounds very direct and very aweful without one to me) but it can't do a big modern guitar sound- that third stage clipper whose bias floats up and down a little bit creating some interesting midrange complexity. Most devices assume that "modern=midrange scoop" which isn't entirely correct. How is AT2?

very odd statement...a bunch? how many is in a bunch?

First it does have have the speaker emulator, and mic position...but also I disagree with big guitar sound...a lot

unassuming I'm sure (though I don't have it so I can't ask it)...

let me count the ways...
Original Rackmount Sansamp (still own)
GT2 (sold)
Tri-AC (still own)
PSA-1
Trademark 60
Behringer GT2 ripoff (still own)

I really like what they can do for clean, cleanish, bluesy and m@rshally sounds, or bass.

First it does have have the speaker emulator, and mic position...but also I disagree with big guitar sound...a lot

:?: devices assume?
heh...

I said they were cool for some things, which they are. I really like them for cleanish on-the-edge tones.

I've owned piles of direct recording devices over the ages. They often get re-bayed when they aren't impressive enough to keep. Most things disappoint, but I keep trying.

At this point in time, I still have the rackmount sansamp (pre psa), the tri-ac and the behringer knock-off.

Its funny that all of the sansamps do a little something that the others can't do. none of them seem to be able to do everything. That is partly how I have had so many of them. Trying to find the one that did it all and they don't exist.

:)

relax dude I was only teasing...btw on the left side of the GT2 (the sansamp...never heard of the other one) is a switch called mic...what do you suppose they're mic-ing?

It's a simulation of course but a very convincing one.
This pedal is like magic.
Only 4 Op-Amps inside yet you get wide range of tones.
It is also a big money maker, knowing what's inside I am sure they make a killing on it.
