Anyway, where's your skin grymmjack? We all knows you gots da skillzz! :D
Yeah I know how you feel (spending time need a break). Go make some music with oatmeal :)

My skin is gonna be a while yet. Got some other projects ahead of it :( But yea I want to give it a go. I love how you placed things in yours :) Thanks also, for the "skillzz"..

I want to skin a great deal of things myself just to make myself feel more at home using stuff -- much like BONES did with all the stuff he uses all the time. Just takes time. :(

Anyway the hover/xy thing works but it's not perfect accuracy :) Next time try the technique I offered if you use photoshop, it's seriously dead simple and right the first go round to the pixel.

Looking forward to seeing more ezeeboog skins in the future :)

edit:
Also dude, if you use photoshop you MUST get ahold of RLH KnobRender, it's great and saves sooo much time. I use that with a little thing I made for imagemagick convert to stack (knob renderer crashes when I choose to stack as well -- dunno why all other steps work fine)

It's funny how there's so much modesty, and no glorification at all from the author about his work. i'm quite sure Oatmeal is just a beginning, just to give a taste of what he's able to do in the vsti world... I don't know why, just a feeling I have : )
That link is either unaccessible for me or corrupted when it manages to download, could you fix the link ?

edit:

that was kind of a pointless observation of mine, and it really doesn't matter in the long run.
sorry for my negativity.

grymmjack: Jesus, your gui's really are some of the best I've seen. Kudos mate! :) - With people like you and nbeat around one really does feel kind of silly trying hard to make a decent interface.. heh ;)

I already have it, I was one of the first purchasers! If you look at the RLH site you'll find my reccomendation! Look for the Craig Lee, ezeeworld quote! ;)

You are kidding right? Your work is the same level as my own I would say! Thanks though just the same, seriously you are being way way hard on yourself. I like your work a great deal man!

 nbeat -- what did he make? If he's the guy behind rgc stuff, indeed he rules and I am not worthy!

That thing has saved me so much time. I was going to make my own with the photoshop scripting sdk but why bother when he has already done it? Does your version work with stacking ? Mine bombs out on that (not a big deal as the other parts what I really need/use it for) phase/step.

I love that thing to pieces. I've got a pretty great workflow going. Now I just need to figure out how to make my life not as hellish when making pots that modify a graphic independent of rotation -- for example the default wusik skin how it has the bars of green that rise/grow as you turn it -- am I right assuming that this guy made it frame by frame do that? I have done something like it with the grainz pot for sknote with LEDs that emulated the novation vstation UI but it's nowhere near as cool. There has to be some trick my brain cant figure out though, I can't imagine 91 frames of bar modifications for a growing thing unrelated to rotation. :(

Any advice on this? That's the only thing I am missing in my workflow optimizations...

Sorry, but it works perfectly for me... Is there a problem for other downloaders ?

grymmjack: nbeat is Jurgen, or Jorgen or.. ehh.. anyway he made these, although the low quality images don't do them justice:

http://www.northernbeat.com/images/inst ... /ps-1.html
http://www.northernbeat.com/nb-audio/im ... olisa.html
http://www.northernbeat.com/images/inst ... aurus.html

It's nice and flat with high contrast, just the way I like it. No flashy 3d stuff with gradients, tons of shadow and such.

And grymmjack, your Wusikstation skin is very, very sexy. I'm gonna see if I can find my license somewhere and install the darned thing again :)

Ahh. I love his work then too. Dude the skin isn't done yet :) But will be soon. I'm kinda procrastinating right now because I burn out with real job/working.. You should give skinning wusik a go. It's a bear though, tons of little details to worry about.

Post

grymmjack, I hope you release that Wusik skin of yours. Absolutely beautiful and probably one of the easiest on the eye if you work a lot on Wusik. Kudos.

second that, I went to look at the skins and was disappointed that I can't use that Wusik skin immediately! (sorry for veering off topic)

Works fine here. What error message does it throw up (if any)?

Although it's possible, I wouldn't use photoshop for that kind of thing, I find that sort of thing much easier and quicker in Adobe Flash (I don't own Flash but have access to a friends copy on his PC). I think it's something that you could also do in Image ready quite easily because it supports animated graphics. Photoshop is not the ideal environment for more complex animated graphics.

In Flash (and quite possibly Image Ready) you can set the start frame and end frame then "tween" between them to create a series of sequential images and them export the single frames. I could create graphics like your talking about in next to no time in Flash. I'm using it currently for some of the more unusual graphics that I'll be using in my own Synthedit/Synthmaker/other projects. ;)
