Spend some time here:

http://www.plugorama.com/customer/documentation.php

the receptor software allows 16 VSTi's loaded at once, theoretically all playing at once (listening on 16 midi channels, for instance). The CPU limit depends on the plug in and in many cases (especially z3ta) on the patches being used (ie. how complex, number of oscillators, etc).

In real usage for sequencing, I find I can comfortably run 5-8 plugs at once in a "pop song" context. This number goes way down, though, if any of the plugs are Native Instruments Kompakt/Kontakt based instruments and you have DFD turned on.

:bang: I guess not everyone "get's it" :bang:

Receptor runs hundreds of VST's, both instrument and effects. How many does TC Powercore support? :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:

Post

heh - but TC - is another level =)
by the way how much does Receptor cost?

No argument there (another level for sure) ;-)

cost? depends on where/what you buy and where you live. Regardless, it pretty pricey :P

sony oxford plugins + virus - is argument =)

isn't this comparison apples and oranges? receptor can run standalone without a pc. so it depends on your application.

Absolutely. Or "chalk and cheese" as the English say :-)

mmmmmm. chalk. :)

Yeah, there's like what, 2 VSTi's available on PowerCore?

I own a PowerCore and a Receptor. Totally different concepts, useful in different ways. Just the same as I can't run Sony Oxford or Access stuff on the Receptor, I can't run Ivory or Spectrasonics plugs on the PowerCore.

Post

nor can you run ivory and spectrasonics on the powercore at a GIG.
