I'm getting a wierd behaviour of the arrow/pencil tool. When I switch to the pencil and go over a midi part it turns into an arrow, the same thing happens in the opposite way. Even if I only move one of these tools across a midi part it changes between arrow and pencil.
I'm new to this beta test so sorry if I'm being a stupid newbie

A bug indeed. Will be fixed asap!Calum wrote:Jo
Just noticed that in Beta 7 (OSX version), no graphical representation is created when you draw in the Pitchbend window although the midi notes are affected by what is drawn - invisible pitch bending!

Resize the audio mixing desk making sure that you make the height either larger or smaller than the standard height of this window. Let go the window and it snaps nicely back to the default height. Now quit out of Luna (with or without saving changes) and when you relaunch, the audio mixing desk is no longer at the default height - instead it appears to have remembered the height from when you resized the window initially. Hope this makes sense.

I just reproduced it with a completely clean install. I'm running XP and the CM Studio plugins, ASIO4ALL 1.8, etc.muzycian wrote:Strange, can't reproduce that here.fycfung wrote:Hi! I noticed that when I open Luna b7, and it starts with no player associated to the Bach invention, and I create a new synth, CM-101 in the Composer window, and then I open the Sequence Editor, and then I change to the CM-101, then the player for the part is not changed, and no sound comes out. On the other hand, if I create the CM-101 in the Sequence Editor, then it does change that part to that player.
It doesn't matter whether i create a new or select an existing player, switching to another player in the Sequence Editor always sets that player for that part.
Ok, i'll do some minor tweaks do make it more clear. Also, the "duplicate" command seems to work now, that's great. My only concern is that the word "duplicate" makes it seem like it ought to manufacture another copy and place it somewhere. It seems like, when you call it, it's more like "detach" the copy from the pool of originals. I can't quite think of a better intuitive name for it right now, but I thought I'd mention that.
I install Luna, install the plugins, select the drivers, set the MIDI player. Then I get the Bach invention in the Composer. I go to the Player Panel, add CM-101. Then I double-click on the part (which says "No Player"). I get the Sequence Editor. I go to the Player Panel. I select CM-101. I hit play. No sound comes out. I hit Close, I go back to the Composer. The sequence still says "No Player".
IF, however, I double-click slowly enough that the part is selected before I use the second click to get into the Sequence Editor, then it works. So I am guessing that if I double-click too fast, the part is somehow not selected before the Sequence Editor is opened.
Thanks!

I noticed another thing. If I accidentally open Luna when it's already open, then the second instance will hang and I have to kill it with the Task Manager. I suppose it might have something to do with being unable to get control of the sound card or something?
Thanks!
Thanks!

If you edit a pan position in the mixer (any channel), then go to the arrangement (click anywhere) and come back to the mixer and click on an empty space (must be the first mouse click) - the last edited pan is affected.

If you doubleclick with the pencil (i.e. at the front or end of the part), then the part is not selected automatically. And thus it doesn't get updated when changing the player in the Player Panel.
Wil be fixed!
Thanks,

If LUNA can't get control over the audio card, then it displays "Couldn't start audio engine", and it runs without the audio engine.fycfung wrote:I noticed another thing. If your system hangs in case of a double start, i think it's because of a driver problem.
I suppose this is also the case when launching another audio app two times, right?

Seems like pasing on old news, but still, here goes
On first opening the app, it comes up with the default midi file, with no player associated, and I had a devil of a time trying to get Luna to associate a player with the track. What I've noticed is that the cursor will change from an arrow to a pencil when you move (the cursor) over the track. Moving the cursor around a bit more will change it back to an arrow.
The problem the is this- If you just move the cursor over the track and click on the track while the cursor is a pencil, the track does not become selected. So people will click on the track then go and change the player associated with the track, believing that the track has been selected.
To confuse the issue even further, after changing the player for the track, then double clicking on the track to bring up the editor, you still see a player in the top window, and so believe that there is a player associated with the track. Closing the editor (by clicking on the close button) to show the track view will then show that there is no player associated with the track.
