Global Sync?

I have an evolving and somewhat rythmic pad preset which uses MSEG's and sync'ed lfos. For a particular use I wanted to set the speed of the whole thing to half. Is there a global sync function in Zebra2?

It was easy enough to change the setting for each MSEG and LFO so no big deal, but it made me wonder if there was such a function.

Not *yet* ;)

(and I don't know if ever, but this is one of the feature requests I'll probably bother with next autumn...)

Thanks for the reply. That is not very important anyway.

I have an XY pad on my keyboard and I wanted to map it to the first XY controller pad in Zebra2. Unfortunately, my XY pad on my Korg sends X coordinate first so I cannot use midi learn function to map the Y. Is there some way to manually edit the midi learn functions?

Also, can I add more than one parameter to a controller on my keyboard?

Well, yeah, the Midi Learn stuff is still a bit premature in my stuff. I'm gonna add pull down menus for it soonishly.

However, if you're brave enough, you can learn another controller on Y and manually edit that file com.u-he.Zebra.Midimap.txt (I hope it still sits in C:\program files\u-he\Support\, I've got reports that it sometimes ends up at random locations, which I'll fix as well)

The only way to add multiple parameters to one controller are the XYs... I think that's conceptionally the cleanest way. (Unless somebody proves me wrong, that is ;) )

Cheers,

;) Urs

Where would I find that file on the mac? I do not mind editing the file in the meanwhile. It is that, or not being able to use the XY pad at all.

Using the XY's to add multiple parameters is fine. Makes it easier to share presets too.

Oops, oh... yeah...

hmmm... That file is empty

So editing com.u-he.Zebra2.midimap.txt (assuming there was something to edit) would fix the XY pad on my Korg (CC# 16/17) to the XY pad in Zebra for all presets?

I could also edit the fxp preset file for a preset specific assignment?

Hmm, I think I have disabled saving the midimap file until the problems on PC are fixed :(

But they should load...

Just create that file (ordinary ascii text) with following content:

Code: Select all

16=PCore:X_1
17=PCore:Y_1
2=VCC:Trsp
Editing an fxp is *not* advisable. If the length changes, everything might crash...

I added that to the file, but the file is overwritten on launch and returns to a blank file.

:(

Hmmm...

... well... will look into this... next week maybe...

Thanks, much appreciated. In the meanwhile I realized I can remap a controller knob to cc#17 to set up the Y axis and get the XY pad at least working for a preset.
