_patch,
der immer gern mal wieder reinließt, hier

Good for you. But the question is: how long is the path still ahead?

OTOH I bought AT2 and have been getting very good results. I think it sounds as good if not better than your mp3's for high gain, to my ears at least...

Spot on!
Having heard your clips, I can say they're indeed pretty good.
Similar for me, I'm using GR2 with enjoyment (the heavy sounds aren't as good as yours, but I don't really need them much anyways).
And it's just happening the way we were proposing since, hm... a year or what? Midiworks just shot himself in the foot.
There's *no* way any sane person would buy an amp sim at a price tag like what he proposed - especially from someone who doesn't even manage to release a plugin two years after it's been "almost" done. Regardless of code changings. Regardless of flood. Regardless of nice women at nice beaches.
If there were any bugs, any feature requests, everybody would expect fixes to take as long as for the initial release.
Apart from that, if there was any serious betatesting going on (most hosts on multiple platforms, stuff like that), I'm sure we would've heard more of the amp.

I mean, heck, the *only* somewhat official thing we're seeing up to this date is a webpage pointing to some soundclick page still titled "Rockman Sound", featuring a few rarely documented MP3s of questionable quality. WTF?

Sorry, René, but that didn't work out well. And I'd be surprised if it will, in the end.
There are 3 kinds of people:
Those who can do maths and those who can't.

Midiworks .mp3-clips are awesome! Very good, if they are not fakes...

AT2-clips are miles behind the ones from Midiworks. Hear the original clips at the IKMM-sites - they are aweful. They are sounding poor and thin, Imho.

The only good clips, I've heared in the multi-AT2-released-bla-bla-witze-threads are those three, that came from Guitar-Rig!

Still wondering, what Midiworks is doing here...

Always remember: this thread starts in spring 2004 (!) - NI Guitar Rig1 was released exactly this time. So Rene (who ever he works for) had a good reason to cry out loud, if he worked on another projekt the time before GR came out.

MW isn't able to clarification in any ways! Why? There is NO reason to shut the mouth, release the sim.

I totally agree with you. Don't listen to the MP3's on IKMM website! I guess the big-boobed chick did the presets for the clips on their page... Listen to this instead...

This is AT2 only, nothing else, plus bass & drums. And someone with better skills than me could do way better...

thanks, Melodioso!
later on, I will download this files. I'm in a inetcafe right now...

tweaking a ampsim is a must for good TONE ;-) (same to the old POD's, GR2 etc.).

@Sascha Frank: what do you think: is MW working for one of the hardware-modeler-companies like e.g. Line6, H&k, Behringer - etwas Salz in die native Suppe streuend? Könnte doch gut möglich sein... Zu "konspirativ" gedacht?? Was meinst du?

It's a sign of good psychological health to assume that other people's material is placed on this Earth for your approval.

Its a sign of being gay to assume I give 2 shits about anything you post or don't.

I find it very fishy though, 'cause _patch only posts in this thread plus two other ampsim-related threads.

I smell a handpuppet-game going on, I say Sherlock is right!
Now _patch, don't start posting in other threads, 'cause now its too late for that.

NB: anyone remembers Donny Christian??
