thanx Dave
...Yeah I'm guilty of putting too much in. I'm always saying I won't, but I'll just add this, and a little of that and before you know it
:hihi:

Some clarifications:
At the beginning of January I invented the new amp simulator engine.
The results and the flexibility were so amazing that I decided
to dump the old amplifier nearly completely.
I only kept the distortion and the response engine.
(and a few effects)
After I took the long and relaxing break,
I was looking for a new concept that would suit the new amplifier.
In short, in the last three months we have built a completely new amplifier !
I mean all, main engine, gui, and a good bunch of amp models.
While the old amplifier model, the one that we were planning to release before Christmas,
was rather like all those other amplifier simulations that we all know,
only with a much better distorted sound and a much better response to the playing.
The new amplifier is a total different beast.
It is brand new and built on our excessive research
and gathered knowledge, in this extremely long development.
There is nothing like this available today on the market,
I think I would have shot my foot, if I had released the amplifier in December.
The first ampsim will be for the guitar player who needs a powerful and dense distorted amp sound,
that comes as close as possible to the real thing.
(You can still turn down the drive knob, until you come into the more crunchy domain of the amplifier sound.)
Soon I will choose some people and give them the possibility
to try ONE amp model of their choice.
(the pure amp, no effects)
Hopefully, this will then stop all those kind of conspiration theories.
Thanks and cheers
René

Hey guy, ... it seems that your sim amp engine rocks ... and every new idea you will have, will lead to a new, more realist, better sound, thing ...
But, think that in 2 or three year, after many many new ideas, new concepts, NI will release its GR 10 and Ik its amplitube 12 !!!
New peoples on the amp sim scene begin to come like softube ... and bring back with them new concepts for modelling amp sound ...
If your product is really good (not a bag of bugs) ... be quick on the market ... or be died !!

Not wanting to diss this or anything, but if you would have released last december, you'd now have a nice improved version 2!Midiworks wrote:The new amplifier is a total different beast.

I understood the old amp sim you had was pretty nice already, so toss in a good free upgrade policy... now that would have been some marketing!
