I just downloaded a couple of your demos and found that the presets for the instruments are only available to the controller interface, not the host's AU slot display. Using Rax and DSP-Quattro. Any chance you'll address this issue?

I understand and totally agree. Which is exactly why I asked. Both Rax and DSP-Quattro are compliant with Apple's spec. But I still made an error; I meant to post to a different forum! Sorry.beej wrote:You can't provide presets in every individual host format, Cubase FXB, Audiounit aupreset, Logic settings file, DP presets etc etc. The whole reason for including a patch browser *once* in the plugin means you don't have to do the same work many different times for different hosts...

So, hehehe, you're obviously not referring to my stuff... what forum did you want to post in?

Well, I was referring to the AU versions of Cheez Machine and Ticky Clav, but I've since found lots of other plugins which behave similarly. I'm a complete novice at this electronic music, and there are large holes in my knowledge regarding all the varioius formats in use by the various hosts. Giving further thought to the comments above, I see now that in a large number of cases, and considering the amount of ports from one platform to another, I can't expect to find the kind of behavior I'm looking for. It's a minor issue anyway; transparently passing MIDI to the plugin without calling up the control screen is probably much more important to efficient workflow. I haven't looked much into that yet.
But it's all great fun!!
Cheers.
