Huh? It works for both effects and instruments!

Ah... There seem to be quite a few that don't work.
Don't work:
AZR3 (B3 emulator)
BoB (303 emulator)
Crystal
EZpoly

Work:
CM-505 (drum synth)
CM101 (VA)
Cameleon 5000
DS404
Delay Lama

I was just unlucky to try it with synths in the "don't work" list (Crystal, EZpoly and sfz). Is there a reason why some instruments are controllable through mapping and some aren't?

I quickly checked ZR3 and it seems that ZR3 does not respond to the "setParameter" vst function.

As a consequence, it can't be midi controlled, nor automated!

I suppose the other dont-work plugins suffer from the same, also in any other host of course.

Right, will see what can be done about the audio output selection...
This would be really useful: losing all my remaining audio outs when LUNA opens is irritating - I have to remember to open everything in the right order (LUNA last).

I understand. It's on the todo list.

I'm going to hit the 4 VSTi limit soon. It is ok to render a track into audio. How can I then free a spot for a new VSTi? I can't see how to remove a VSTi once I'm finished with it.

-> Mixdown a selection of parts to a audio file (file menu)
-> Import that audio file in LUNA (pencil in the composer)
-> Select the VSTI to be deleted (click original part)
-> Delete the VSTI from the session (Player Panel->Options)

Has anyone requested more "drag and drop" functionality for importing audio/midi clips? It would be very nice to click on a loop or other audio file in a folder, then drag it into a (new or existing) track where I want it, making new part with correct length etc.

Not yet requested... until now

Ah, I see... That makes sense. (I suppose an additional feature could be MIDI CC (or other event) to MIDI CC (or other event) mapping for a specific VST plugin, so that the standard MIDI in to the plugin could be used... It would be up to the user to pick the correct "target" event (sent to the plugin). No urgency on that!

If ever you consider it interesting to have the current and future documentation translated in French, I think I can be of help. I'm no pro translator but as I work in Linguistics, I'm used to checking out grammar rules and vocabulary

Thanks for the tips. I edited VstPlugins.xml to do what I needed.

What I was trying to say was, <i>all</i> my VSTis didn't appear in the list in "Add new Synth" menu. Now the ones I want do.

VSTIs with multiple outputs don't (yet) get a separate mixerstrip per output.

Currently all other-than-the-first outputs are mixed into the first output.

I've purchased Luna Unlimited ... but it's a pre-release version ! I want assign two masterkeyboard MIDI on two VSTi with the rapport 1 VSTi = 1 Keyboard ... But nothing to make a choice of MIDI Keyboard in the part area / part local menu / edit or part ....
It's a great deception for me and many other people, I suppose ...
Also, can you insert the item menu choice "Choose MIDI controler" in the part local menu for the next release of Luna ?

One more comment. The buttons for zooming in and out seem to act a little too fast. I have to click very carefully (i.e. suddenly) to avoid zooming in 3-4 levels. I think a bit of a delay before repeating the click action will really help.

The Luna Free VST scanner chokes on Linplug's SaxLab. Maybe you can sort this out with Peter@Linplug?

Indeed, LUNA's midi input engine is in omni mode, so to say.

Maybe lateron this may be evolved.

Also, can you insert the item menu choice "Choose MIDI controler" in the part local menu for the next release of Luna ?
