at least 100 more than what he says

Seriously, I don't know. There was a ton already in February, but I have since lost the overview. I know that the number of Tasmaniandevil presets (tas-) had grown from 90 to 300+, that was one month ago. My own patches have not grown in number that much. Well, the Zebralette presets that will be included account for another 300. Latter are much like the Eco-bank for FilterscapeVA.AL GEE wrote:HI Urs how many presets come with zebra2?
I am convinced that there has got to be comfortable ways to share patches and to help creating new stuff. I'll put a lot of time into this after release.

could Urs be considering More Feedback Machine 2?Filterscape is gonna be the mothership for a couple u-he satellites.
I like to think so.
I can almost imagine just such a satellite.
but Zebra comes 1st (zu erste?) I'll accept that

wrench, MFM will stay an extra product. I have other plans for Filterscape, focussed on *filtering* rather than delay

oh well, couldn't resist...Urs wrote:Z2 does not yet do FilterFM, but there's a new filter in the drawer that will, uhm, render a few discussions void, hopefully later this year (remind me to post an audio sample as soon as Z2 is finsihed... I have sworn not to touch the filters in development for as long as Z2 is still under construction)

First half: Self oscillating filter (no input, just resonance) with envelope, decay time varied
Second half: Same filter, no input again, just resonance, but using a Z2 oscillator to modulate Cutoff
Unfortuantely it still takes 20% per voice on my G5. Thus don't ask for it unless I had the time to SSE/AltiVec it.

Doesn't sound like FilterFM I to me, with maximum resonance it should sound almost like simple (two oscillator) FM...

The frequency of the Osc is relatively low. That's all. If I put it up, it starts to alias because the filter doesn't damp the input yet.Summa wrote:Doesn't sound like FilterFM I to me, with maximum resonance it should sound almost like simple (two oscillator) FM...
Now show me a filter in a softsynth that self oscillates without any input signal (and which has a constant volume from 10Hz to 18kHz)

Well, I honestly don't care about the specs, as long as it sounds good...
It's unusual, since even analog synth do need a minimal portion of noise energy (that analog circuits tend create by themself) to archive that...Now show me a filter in a softsynth that self oscillates without any input signal

Yeah. I simulate that with a -130dB noise injection. This does not tickle an ordinary digital filter thoughSumma wrote:It's unusual, since even analog synth do need a minimal portion of noise energy (that analog circuits tend create by themself) to archive that...

Hmmm... I guess I'll find one or two digital filters in my collection, anyway just make a few nice FilterFM sounds to make me happy, as soon as you're ready with your filter, otherwise ppl. might think it can do noises only...Urs wrote:Yeah.
