Evolving the Audio Mixing Desk

I've been thinking about an improved Audio Mixing Desk strategy:
New synths don't automatically get a new mixer strip, it's optional.
E.g. via 2 menu options "Load New Synth" and "Load New Synth + Mixer Strip"
Synths can also be rerouted to any mixer strip (menu option "Edit Output Routing"), so you can take multiple synths together on 1 mixer strip, without having to send them to a common strip.
This way, we can also more integrate multiple outputs: You can just choose to which mixer strips the synth outputs are routed, as well the main outs as the sub outs.
When deleting a synth ("Delete from Session") then the used mixer strip is not automatically deleted with the synth anymore.
Only when the mixer strip is exclusively used by that synth being deleted, then LUNA could ask "Also Delete Mixer Strip?".
Take all this together with the new gui aspects of the Audio Mixing Desk (cfr http://www.mutools.com/temp/luna-pr2.png ) and i think we get a more streamlined and at the same time more powerful Audio Mixing Desk.
What do you think?

That sounds really good. No more "audio strip", "send strip" and instrument strips! Much simpler!
If you added on being able to select which ASIO channel (pair) a particular strip feeds into and the mixer woud be set to go, I reckon! Oh... How about allowing the strip to feed into another strip rather than an ASIO channel pair (no as a send)?

I like this idea a lot - very economical and more flexible as well.
One reservation only is that I could imagine some difficlties remembering which synths are flowing into a given mixer strip and clicking around trying to find the one that is annoying me!
So if there is a way to see a list or highlight the parts that are playing through a given strip then this is great.

I guess setting this up will be from right-click on a part with the player that wants to be routed and will affect all parts with that player? The reason I ask is that I was thinking this would be done from the Player panel -- but audio parts don't appear there at the moment.
Would adding audio parts to the list of Players help/break anything?

all i want more than anytyhing is a mix knob for my effects, and a bypass switch.
audio parts already can be controlled via mixing strip automation.
is there PDC yet? i think that should be a priority soon, if we are working on a better mixer anyway.

unlimited, but i think its the same in the free one. just make your strip the player and then create a sequence for it and in the automation view you can change it to write in values for strip parameters.
