Hello everybody,

to avoid an overload of my order processing ability which could lead to users disapointment,
EVE 2 will be released gradually:

Step 1) "purchase" and "upgrade" link by this message for anyone reading here
Step 2) official EVE 2 release, including the OS X version!
Step 3) newsletter to all existing EVE 1.x users, mainly for those who missed this message

(few days from one step to the next)

EVE 2 adds a cool set of new features and improved sound quality to the original EVE design.
Also, the default preset bank and the A0S bank (now included as part of the main package) have been redesigned to take advantage of the *new features* EVE 2 has to offer. As special bonus the "Prepared Rhodes Light" SoundSets by Zvon are also included in this release. The whole preset package is 318 presets for 98 SoundSets (multisampled instruments).
New presets by Liqih, Tim Conrardy and Zvon.

EVE 2 price is 73 USD, (about 56 EUR)

Price of the upgrade is only 24 USD, (about 19 EUR)
Note: as evidence for the upgrade you need to add your assigned DASH ticket in the order form

To order you copy of EVE 2 today you may use PayPal through this link

Nice, but how do I get the "classic" skin ? I don't see any options. Also RAR format is a pain.

Post

thanks tonalaxis, thanks dhanjit, <grin>

thanks Cabinfever, the legacy skin is not ready yet,
but you have the round knob at least, <grin>

BTW why RAR is a pain?, actually it's an EXE for you,
please let me know

Thanks Liqih, silly me, I had some memory of unzipping lots of files but I see this is not needed here.

I'm very glad to see that Eve has retained the single-page GUI and fast workflow that makes it so good while getting a select few (but powerful) enhancements.

Ps: Can I turn off the "old preset" popup warning ?

Post

:D I'm looking forward to this! Will order at the end of the week, when any buglets are smoothed out. (And I have money!)

:?: Question: we should just dump the old AOS samples & presets, or what? {Any point keeping them for, say, the ManyOne replacement of EVE ONE?]

Oh, and we should just dump 1.8, since there's nothing in it that isn't in 2.0, or done better in 2.0? {I haven't played with the beta, so Luigi or someone else will have to answer that}

Thanks for the positive words, about the warning so far you can't turn it off, but it should popup only once when you load an old bank, right?
it's important to comunicate to the user that old presets may sound different in EVE 2

AOS samples are the same, the new A0s bank is edited to be enhanced by the EVE 2 features, you'd keep the old one to use in older versions of EVE if you like,

EVE 1.8 has lower sound quality and less features compared to EVE 2, but is uses less CPU cycles, so in some cases it can still be useful if you have it around,

OK, gotcha :)
