Indeed it crashes :(

Emailed Linplug about this; Waiting for the answer...

Both things are fixed/tuned by the new Audio Setup Panel in pre-release 2 (coming soon)

Maybe lateron this may be evolved.
Also, can you insert the item menu choice "Choose MIDI controler" in the part local menu for the next release of Luna ?
I'm not sure what you mean...
What should that function do?
Well ... I have a MS-20 USB MIDI controler Korg and I want to control the MS-20 VSTi with this device ...
On the other hand, I have a CME UF-6 and I want to control another VSTi like M-Tron (i.e.)... But I can't choose in the part editor the MIDI device (masterkeyboard) for each VSTI ...you understand me ? How can I select a specific MIDI device for a specific VSTi ? May be with an item menu choice like "Choose MIDI controler" in the part editor of course !!

Thank you for your reply !

You'd want to be able to specify the input Port:Channel for a particular player, independent of any parts in the composition, I'd have thought. The currently selected played (in the player panel) is, as Jo says, currently the only target for all incoming MIDI (all ports, all channels). Flexible input routing (something like "multiplayers" but preferably more flexible ;)) is on my wishlist... :)

Any news on this?
When I was younger I used to be in doubt. These days I'm not so sure.

I have a question regarding the presets for VSTi's. I seem to be getting different results with different plugins with how Luna handles their preset libraries, and I don't actually understand the guts of how a VST communicates its presets to the host, so I don't know quite what to expect. It seems like some VSTi's can give you their presents and some can't. For instance, CM-101 always comes up for me with all emptys. I recall Cmuzys being able to detect and display its presets, so that seems anomalous.
On the other hand, SR-202 comes up with "SR202 Kit 1" but I can't seem to move back and forth to any other presets, and I can't use the open button from Luna to open other .202 files (e.g., I navigate to the directory containing the files, and when I try to expand it in the treeview, no files are displayed).
Crystal does seem to let me view the presets in the Luna menu. I can't say that I can ever remember whether hitting "save" will save the current settings into the preset with the name appearing in the box, or whether it will ask me where to save it. In the latter case, how does the new preset end up on the list of presets displayed in Luna? Does Luna manage that directly or does the plugin manage that?

This probably just diaplays my ignorance of VST's, but I figured this may be an issue for novices.

Thanks!

That's because .202 files are for SR-202 itself, i mean: only sr202 can read them, not the host.

The plugin.

Thanks. Just out of curiosity, should I expect the list to give me a set of presets for CM-101, out-of-the-box, so to speak?

SR202 doesn't load a preset bank here. CM101 neither.

It's up to the plugin.

I tried the FabFilter One CM version and it has a bunch of presets, but you can't use the arrows in Luna to navigate them. If you navigate them with the plugin, then if you click on the Luna box for the preset, you can get it to change to the current one set in the plugin, but that's about it. I guess that must be something about whether the plugin responds to some sort of VST preset-switching API call or something, then? Crystal seems to do a better job exposing its preset bank, etc.
Thanks!

I'm having some problems with the sound not starting up right away when I boot up Luna. At least once, when I booted up into an exiting project, I could get nothing but silence, and then the synths were silent until I opened up the synth window and kind of "shocked" it back into action by twiddling with it a little, e.g., hitting one of the drums in the CM-505 window. I was using Wusikstation V1 and CM-505 at the time. I know this doesn't quite rise to the level of a reproducible bug report, sorry. Maybe someone else has experienced something similar.

Also, sometimes when I am in the sequencer window, the middle panel on top (with the transport controls) somehow exposes a little rectangular chunk of some other panel that looks like it's underneath it, to the right of the BPM counter. I'm sorry I don't have a screenshot at the moment, and I am also not quite sure how to reproduce it, but it's shown up a couple of times.

Third, if I move the end loop counter while a note is being played, the note tends to hang.

Thanks!
