I've tested it trying to make a track with it... ive found the following issues:
(sorry if these are already implemented or if i've overlooked it... or if there is another way of doing it)
Editing features that i miss :
- Simple X 2 & X 4 zoom in the keyboard mapping window (the way it is i can harly click the desired zone - im using 1024x1280 that's not so high)
- Hi key and low key are displayed as midi numbers - that is cool for some stuff but people are musicians, not mathematicians
- Envelopes do not display any info at all - it should display miliseconds (this is essencial)
- The volume in multi view should display db and the panning should display %
- Selecting more than one zone in the keyb mapping windows with the mouse should be possible & editing the settings would affect the mouse selected zones (including sample start)
- In the sample edit window there should be a PLAY button
- Dragging a sample from the browser and dropping that sample in a specific key in the keyboard mapping should be possible
- Selecting a sample in the browser should preview it (an option in the browser to enable this)
- Up and Down cursor keys should cycle through samples (ive found myself doing that already several times...with no luck...ehehe)
other stuff :
- Total recall should be possible to set by programm - i want to save small programs with the song but really big programs i dont
- When using the total recall feature directwave should compress sample data to save space in saved project files
- It should import mute zones from Battery
That's all for now. this sampler can become amazing
