An off-the-wall one to check out -- Magix Music Studio Deluxe 10, which can be had for as little as $35 after rebate, has a built-in function with a graphical interface, explicitly designed for correcting the pitch of waveforms in detail, using a mouse. The disk comes with a video tutorial on how to use it.
MSD itself records only 16-bit audio, but will import and deal with 24-bit. No dongle, of course. It's so cheap that it might be worth a try just on the off-chance that it's what you're looking for.
Edit: they call it Elastic Audio Easy. More details here on their US site: http://site.magix.net/english-us/home/m ... n=standard
Take care,
GreyLion

Yeah that that Zplane time stretch algo. Works ok for vocals if you don't push it too hard but sounds awful for anything else...GreyLion wrote:they call it Elastic Audio Easy.
But considering the price this could be interesting.
@Krakatau: hmm. You think AutoTune shouldn't be suggested here? What are you trying to tell me with your smileys? ...

No it also has the Zplane time stretch algos built in. I don't like them, really...ttoz wrote:actually, don't laugh, try live 5 rewired. No pace or ilok crap. The pitch and ts quality is quite good.
Just my 2 cents worth

Tahome and Krakatau -- I'm not taking sides or anything (assuming there is a side to take?), or trying to make anyone feel put down, but -- I find Krakatau's comments completely mystifying. Maybe I haven't read closely enough.....
Maybe a language issue?
