learn mode for kontakt not working

i have 4 different instruments loaded in 1 instance of kontakt 2, all assigned a different midi channel within kontakt. i was wanting to be able to assign a midi cc to control the volume parameter WITHIN kontakt, but when i click on the 'learn' button in edit mode, it says 'click on a parameter' and when i do nothing happens.

i tried it with pro-53 and that worked just fine, but for some reason no parameters are changeable in kontakt? any help here? if i can't change the volume within kontakt then i will probably have to load 4 instances of kontakt all on seperate recepter channels, and that will just eat away at my cpu!

if anyone knows how to do this any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks!

sorry for the bump, but has anyone been able to control kontakt parameters through midi cc's?
