Hi Receptor users. :D

Just a small announcement: Thanks to KVR member, and receptor owner, Kermit Jagger, the T3 Volume's 1 and 2 for Wusikstation's TSW Addon are now available pre-receptorized. If you've already purchased and would like the receptorized presets, for now, please email T3 support, and I'll get you set up asap. If you own Wusikstation and the TSW addon, and are interested in purchasing our presets for receptor use...please see our website.

Quick word regarding this.

Wusik v1 works a treat with the Receptor, and since Wusik 1 supports FXB banks, you can fully control your banks via MIDI. Now, the good part is, Wusik 1 is now only $9.95, for which you get over 400 soudsets and over 500 presets !

Add the TSW soundset (420Mb, 158 presets) from Bitr for 32€ and ToTC's excellent banks for it at $15 each (and we all know the quality of ProSounds stuff), and you get a fabulous instrument for your Receptor.

Given the overall cost, it's well worth it.

It's actually $10 each for the T3 TSW banks. :D Till the end of may, it's only $10 for both of them. :D

Thanks again Kermit! Greatly appreciated! :D

Pardon my ignorance guys, but I am an old arranger player trying to learn the software route. I have a Receptor, and am looking for decent instrument samples for quickloading multi's.

Will Wusikstation fill this need, and can I import SGM 180 GM set into it for midi playback. I really need traditional instruments over synth sounds. I have Colossus, but the sampleas are too big for large multi's.

Well, the default sounds that come with wusikstation are more synthetic than you probably need....but, in all honesty, the TSW addon by Back in time records, really covers most if not all of the GM type sounds you're looking for, and probably to a better quality level. As for our presets for the TSW set, those are probably more synthetic than you need as well. Again, I really think the TSW set might be what you're looking for. Let's see if we can get some other opinions in here.
Anybody?

SGM 180 GM, that sounds like a SoundFont bank. In that case, Wusik won't help. YOu need to use sfz which is supplied as standard with the Receptor can read SoundFonts.

WS is my main "romplar" for my receptor. I think I have more sounds for it then anything else. While it can do bread and butter sounds, its known more for its nice wavestation-like textures.

Plus theres a ton of skins for it, and the steller skin looks..er..STELLER

Unfortunately, I have V3, and eventhough it is problematic, I would like to try and get it to work.

It copies to "Unsupported Plugins fine. The pending area in Receptor shows 2 files(eventhough I copied all from one folder). Install brings up a dialog stating: The Wusikengine Data files couldn't be found. Please, on the dialog box browse until you see Soundset, skins, presets and hit selector". Eventhough the "Data file" was right there in the browser window, I couldn't get it down in the bottom bx. etc etc. I finally just highlighted "Data File", hit select, and the Receptor quit and rebooted.

Since I have V3, what would you suggest ?

First, have you reported this to William ?

You could buy Wusik 1 for $10. It works really well with Receptor.

I spent a LOT of time trying to get V2 and V3 to work. Last night I dropped the 9.95 for V1 so I could use all these wonderful "receptorized" presets coming out (they don't show up in Manystation, TSW, etc since they are really for Wusikstation, and for some reason, they wouldn't show up/install with V3 either). I'm glad I did. V1 is just SO stable on Receptor, and now all these receptorized presets show up fine.

Yes, I wish Receptor was a priority to WK as well, but I can see why we are not (we are a bit of a niche market). Still, offering V1 for 9.95 is about the Kindest thing he has ever done!

Spend the 10 bucks :hihi:

Is it possible that the presets are not loading in v2 and v3 because they were 'receptorized' using version 1??? Could be part of it.

I hope he gets version 2/3 stable on receptor though...This new mass market of wusikstation users, due to the 10 dollar price of version 1, is a great audience, but I'm afraid I won't be able to support version 1 for too much longer. :( Right now, I have the latest wusikstation, to support v2/3, and, to support version 1, I use Manystation...but I hear that will soon be updated to the wusik v2 engine...and I'm not sure if versions 1 and 2 will be able to run alongside each other. So future T3 presets for Wusikstation will have to be only v2/3 compatible. :(

Who knows though....maybe good ol' willy can make everything compatible. :)

Hope any and all receptor users that purchased the T3 set(s) is having a ball with them!!!
Do us a favor and play them on stage! :D

William is trying to work with me on the Beta V3 program, but I am a poor tester, as I am new to software. However, he is a patient man, and maybe he will sort it out.

In the meantime, I am all excited about the aforementioned presets. If I get V1 for now, what presets are we talking about ? the T3 ?

Yes, the T3 presets for the TSW set. Although, you will need the TSW (the second wave) set from Back In Time Records in order to use them. :)

ToTC, no. V2 and V3 use a different format to Wusik 1, called presets, whilst Wusik 1 is compatible with the FXB format. That makes a huge difference.

I'm yet to try W3 on Receptor. I'll give it a test-run on PC first as I'm concerned that both installs could confuse the system, particularly if William hasn't changed the VSTi default directory (in the Registry).

For example, if you install TSW and VOX'd first version, based on the W1 DLL, you cannot install any bank for TSW, they automatically default to Wusik 1. Mind you, TSW can see and open the Wusik 1 banks (the .BNK files).

There will be no support for Wusik 1, but it doesn't matter since it is very stable.

And... there is also something else. Mallory has released a preset generator. It can work in Wusik 1 mode, saving BNK files ! Furthermore, that preset generator supports soundsets which were only released with W2 presets, unusable with W1. So pay the $20 for the preset generator, install more soundsets in your W1 data folder, and play away !

Ah, I see. :) Very complicated. :)
