I just bought these samples too. They are excellent IMHO.

I wish that addon samples like this could be incorporated right into the factory kits so you could easily take advantage of more patterns.

having 24 generic pads DK+ doesn't offer so far an automatic reuse of the patterns in the library, you can actually play any pattern with any kit but some remapping of the tracks is needed.

With the upgrade we may add Set One in the factory library
so it would be simply part of the DK+ package

no, I always care for users,

as I wrote when I was asked for MIDI file drag&drop export
I will ask a small fee to upgrade DK+ (which will include Set One), but the upgrade will be free to who bought Set One already,

so I may say officially that DK+ upgrade will be release in about a week, maybe 10 days, it will include Set One in the library (actually one kit of Set One with most of the samples but not all the 7 banks currently in Set One package), a few new features and the necessary fixes,

- current Set One package will be removed from sale,

- upgrade will be free to who bought Set One,

- to all the other DK+ users the price of the upgrade should be less that 20 USD

Well, I won't expect you to offer it if there isn't much interest, but I thought I should at least let you know that I'm interested. I also just bought the ethno kit. Demos sound great! Now I might not have to wait for my buddy to get his djembe back from his dad!

Personally, if it wasn't for the ethno kit and and the set one, I would no longer be a dk+ user. If more samples were made available with similar quality, I would buy them.

Possibly if you also marketed these samples for other samplers, there might be more of a consumer base to make it worth wile for you.

Also, the only reason I found out about these addon sample sets was this forum. Emails might have been sent, but I don't remember them.

So alot of people probably made there mind up about dk+ based on the origional sample sets, which personally I would only use as a creation tool, more as a "click track." If people heard the "good" sample sets they might be willing to buy them for the sampler they already own, or more likely will want to buy dk+ seeing how easy and effective it is to use for percussion.

Of course all oif this might be completely garbage - the truth is I just want to see you make wore sample sets!

At a guess, I would think that DK+ has a pretty big ownership base -- it's very cheap, after all. And it is pretty simple to put into use. We need this kind of 'stuff' in a world of sophistication, IMHO.

So maybe other percussion sample specialists should talk to liqih about what they could contribute in DK+ format?

I just noticed this post and listened to the demo clips. I love these kits and I was planning to buy them next month, but now I'm unsure if I should buy them or wait for the DK+ upgrade.

I'm also interested in more kits like these, and if the work has already been done setting them up for DK+, I don't see the point of taking them out of sale.

What should I do?

Okay, so I just bought the Funk set for $24. I've been meaning to do it for quite some time, just never got around to it during my busy days. Reading this thread got me motivated to finally pull the trigger.

I'm still unclear about exactly what's gonna happen with upgrades and so on, but I don't actually care. DK+ is an excellent piece of software and Luigi treats his customers right. We're gonna come out all right on this. You gotta support that.

I also feel that Luigi shouldn't take down the Funk set. Maybe sell if for a reduced price to people who get the upgrade, assuming that the upgrade doesn't include the full set. He may not have made much money off of it so far, but I could see it being one of those slow but steady sellers as the product's life span lengthens.

good to know, strangely DK+ was intended as a vintage drum machine emulator, you know all those sample from old gears,

but it seems that more users are interested i n using it for real drums (?)

BTW none of the free acoustic kit on that page is good to you? just curious
