Can someone recommend an effect that adds harmonic partials?

grease, for some reason (probably because I'm not a guitar player) I don't much feck
with disto. I have been using it prior to pitch-tracking software, though, just to see
what happens. Also, I'm for some reason incompetent when it comes to waveshapers.
But your suggestion inspired me to try a combo decimator/disto/bandpass which lead
to surprisingly good results.
kt granulator is wicked sweet, android, but due to my fsu leanings I mostly make it
make a terrible mess of my voice (believe me I've tried it). You want to toss some
presets my way to guide my itinerant aesthetic?
After A LOT more experimenting since I started this thread I've discovered many means
of achieving variations on what I started out trying to accompuitelish but...
NOT quite getting the lead-sounding but pitch-following insicive sound that can make
disctinct notes in really fast passages but there's lots and lots of useable techniques
I have now.
Hopefully after I finish re-installing everything (I just reformatted) I'll be able to post examples - but I'm certainly still willing to entertain any notions ya'll have
got!

Perhaps this is a simpleton approach but have you considered running the source through a bunch of simple pitch shifters running in parallel, with fine tuning and volume controls on each? Then tune each pitch shifter to the "partial" you want. If you use a simple source such as sine waves it should track fine. I don't know if it will be quick enough for fast solo work but this is what I do to make drones with constantly shifting harmonics from a single source. For realtime control you can assign a bank of knobs to control the tuning and volume of however many "partials" you want to use.

I am sure this is not what you wanted. But I sort of glanced through this thread and did not see Cameleon mentioned, so I figured I would throw it out as a wandered by.

Hehe as far as I know you can't resynthesize things live audio input with Cameleon.
The idea is that I can't play keyboard (well, not like a pianist) and I find
synths by and large nowhere near expressive enough for a lead/soloist like me.
I was searching around for resynthesizing synths yesterday and I'm happy to report
that there's far more of them that I would have thought.
