Maybe TC or someone else could try this too. Perhaps I am dreaming. This thing sounds awesome.
What did you have to tweak?

Jason
Keep in mind it is V3B100 that is working....like you I have NEVER gotten V2.x to work.

It might not have made any difference, but I changed the last tag in one of those two XML files to "Wusikstation" instead of the numbers&characters string it had generated. (Until I did this though, it seemed to just reboot receptor when the GUI was launched, just like V2 does.)

At this point, I could load it and play it (and I was shocked), but then when I tried to "unload" it or load anything else, it would do the quick receptor reset thing, and Wusik would still be loaded. Weird. So at this point, I triple-click restarted holding down the multi button to clear cache and that problem went away. Seems pretty stable now, though not rock-solid like my V1 is.

Hope this helps!

So I popped for the Gold package and got it installed and running, but I can't get the Receptor patch management working. I was able to tell Wusik where the DATA directory was, and it sees all of its snd files in its own browser, but the Receptor bank/patch menus are all empty. Any suggestions on how to get this hooked up? Makes it pretty tricky to use without a monitor and mouse at all times.

Thanks,

Jason

I don't think there is any easy way to do this, since Wusik doesn't use FXB/FXP as it's patch format. About all you can do is go through the presets using the Wusik Browser, select the ones you like, and then save each as a Receptor preset. Considering how many thousands of Wusik patches there are, this isn't a totally bad thing...I use the Receptor patches just as a place to quickly get to my favorites.

Got it. That makes perfect sense. I'll give it a shot.

Thanks,

Speaking of Receptor compatibility I'm still waiting for the muse guys to get back to me on the compatibility with the prosoniq stuff...

Anyone has tried Orangevcodoer with this?

Thats what I do as well, and allows you to make your own custom bank of WS sounds which you can use in your custom Multis.

I could never get Toxic2 stable. I would complain about not being able to read a file (have no idea what). However, I just tried ToxicIII and it seems to work very well on Receptor. Hurray!

Make sure when you delete an unsupported, you remove the whole folder (assume you create a sub folder under unsupported for each one you do, which you should), then triple-click reboot holding the multi button until it says "loading". This clears cache. Then create new folder and put the dll in there and go. It should work. I have MinimogeVA first, then I wiped it and put in Luxus instead and it worked fine.

Great news all around about the final release of ToxicIII. It works GREAT on receptor!

http://www.kvraudio.com/get/1568.html

Also, on your host, you can save the factory sounds as a single FXB, then install that on Receptor instantly. Fabulous. I love synths that support FXP and FXB (I think they ALL should personally). Thanks Maxx!!

Lastly, the new Bank of ToxicIII sounds from T3 has been released and they sound fabulous. Again, they are provided in FXB format, so one file drag and you have them ALL as Receptorized patches. http://t3.totcproductions.com/product003.html

yes Toxic is very nice indeed ( using beta demo, for now :P
about Luxus again
I did like you told me, delete minimogueVA, restart+multipress.
and created the xml file to have the vst with proper name, now it displays the name minimogueLUXUS, but somehow, it tries to load the factory bank from VA, and shows me a wierd error when i try to load a patch ( im presuming the banks are imcompatible... and that Luxus cant write his own bank, since he uses the same "minimogueVA" bank...

thankye!

hmmm...might try manually deleting the bank (with Luxus loaded), then deleting and re-installing Luxus. I don't remember having this problem, but it's been a while ;-)

How do you deal with an FXB file on Receptor. Where do you put it and how do you reference it within the plugin? I thought Receptor only deals with FXP extensions!?

I just dragged it to "drop installers here" and installed it. The patches now show up in ToxicIII as "receptorized" patches. Receptor handles FXB's just fine (turns them into FXP's as long as it can identify which plug-in they are for).

I think ;-)
