I really like the step sequencer in dk+, but you really have to do your song in "chunks". Make a pattern for a part of the song - save as midi file - take it into a midi track.
Liqih,
Would it be possible to make it so you could have pattern A, play however many times (x1, x2 ,x3, etc) then play right into pattern B, etc. So you could program the whole drum track right in dk+ and avoid extra edditing in (in my case) Tracktion?
That way you could add alot more variety to your drum tracks to fit right with the song.
dk+ question (how dificult would this be?)

Well doesn't that just make life alot easierYou can select the patterns using notes, can't you? So really you'd just be doing the playlist in Tracktion's midi editor.
I had read the manual several times on the step sequencer section to see if I was missing something. I gues I didn't read down far enough.
Thanks.
It still would be nice to have this all right in dk+ but I guess it is not as neccisary as I thought.
Thanks again bastien.

when you'll get used to build the play list of patternsIt still would be nice to have this all right in dk+ but I guess it is not as neccisary as I thought.
in a Midi track (ch 16) you'll see that it's better
than having a song or chain pattern feature in DK+,
since you can see and edit the play list of patterns
along with the other tracks in your project

Yea, I see you point. I'm getting use to using ch 16. One problem I'm having though - when you trigger a pattern it doesn't start on page one of the pattern, but rather on whatever page it is on in relation to the entire song. Is there a way to get around this?
For example I want to set up the patern for my chorus, but each time I trigger the pattern for the chorus it is on a different page which messes up fills, cymbals, etc.
Am I missing something?
