I was using this synth the other day and it's even better than I remembered. Possibly my favourite free synth, and that's saying a lot. I especially love the randomise function as I am the world's worst patch designer. Two oscillators is all you need when they sound this good.

FL Studio, I hit randomize... although maybe FL randomized the wrong things, either way I got a constant white noise at top level, I got scared I would ruin my speakers.

Oatmeal has it's own Randomize button. Use that one dude, and stop shouting!NotTHeCommonDose wrote:FL Studio, I hit randomize... although maybe FL randomized the wrong things, either way I got a constant white noise at top level, I got scared I would ruin my speakers.

Yeah, with additive oscillators you could probably do just about anything you want with just one. There's excellent commercial additive synths that use only one osc. But Oatmeal has 2 to make it even easier to tweak. Plus it has the noise generator which is way cool. Assign one of the Mod Envelopes to Noise Amp and you have control over its volume, ie, for breath sounds, etc.SRF wrote:I was using this synth the other day and it's even better than I remembered.
